This post otherwise titled: “Earrings strikes a pose.” Once I was all bride-ified, the photographer got me to sit on the bed for a few portraits. By the way, I was super lucky to have that bedroom to take photos in. I felt like I was in something straight out of Pride and Prejudice.

Apparently being told to pose makes me laugh….

They told me to look “provocative” in this pic. Hmm. I think it turned out “cheeky” rather than “provocative.”

My sisters watched on…

…and then all the bridesmaids joined me
After that I headed down the looooong farmhouse hallway until we found the perfect stained glass window:

The best thing about these portraits is that as soon as the photographer started taking them my anxiety disappeared. There was something very reassuring about having some else (i.e. the photographer) giving directions and being in charge, and it was at that point that I knew I could relax and just enjoy the day!
After the portrait session, Mum adjusted my dress once more…

…and I had a final dose of hairspray, and then it really was time. Time to see my groom!
But, before I show you our first look, I’ll give you a glimpse into what Mr E was doing while I got ready: that post is coming your way soon!
Did having portraits taken with your photographer make you more nervous or less nervous?
