People of the hive,
I am way overdue for a goodbye. I started blogging for Weddingbee last January. Our first anniversary is coming in June! It’s time.
A lot has happened since I got married. Ribs got a job in Brooklyn and we’ve been living here for a few months now. I still have my old job, but I’m working on a prettifying-business of my own and interning at an online shelter mag.
I also have my blog: There comes a yes. Just pretend it’s written by a magpie with a penchant for pink. Some things just don’t change.
Also. I come from the future. There is a life and marriage after wedding planning and it’s marvelous. Real and mundane sometimes, but exciting with possibilities. I recommend it.
Most importantly though, I’ve appreciated the opportunity to share our wedding with all of you so much. I didn’t have close girlfriends nearby. I didn’t even have family around. I was searching for connections, for people that didn’t need to feign enthusiasm for this part of my life. Weddingbee helped me feel less isolated, less like I was planning a wedding in a vacuum. Merci.
Wishing the very best to you and yours,
Mrs. Ribbons
