Fancy petals.

I’m talking about aisle decor. Not just random tosses of pretty pink blossoms down the center, but bold, sculpted, designs:

Sorry, let me just wipe the drool off my keyboard real fast…OK! I would just die to have that first aisle at my wedding. I get goosebumps when I think about how gorgeous it would look against our modern backdrop. Yes, it’s beautiful. But is it do-able? I’m not sure. It looks like it would take a very long time to achieve the look I want. And we all know that in wedding world, long time = lots of money.

Anyway, it’s something to think (dream) about. Are you decorating your aisle in a unique way?

But wouldn’t it get totally messed up when everyone walks out before the bride. And then dress train would gather tons of them underneath.

They are drool worthy art pieces, but I would not do it.

I love the last aisle. It is goregous. We have taken the swirly aisle design and transfered it to our tables. I love this idea.

Oh that’s beautiful! You could always just have everyone already up on the altar and not have anyone but you walk out. I think that’s a great idea, but the clean up process would be a bitch.

@ellabee I was thinking/wondering the same thing.

It looks gorgeous, but won’t it be ruined by the time the bride gets to it?

I think the reason why the ribbon is tied across the aisle in two of the pictures is to prevent guests from walking down it. They are probably supposed to enter from the other side of the rows and not walk down the aisle. I’ve been seated that way at one wedding done in a church when the bride decorated the pews with one long sash linking each pew to the next.

Every time I look at photos like that I think it’s amazing. But I can only imagine how much it would all cost.

The bride would have a big pile of petals under her dress by the times she got to the front. And the perfect arranged petals would look awful during the ceremony after she walked through them-think of the ceremony photos.

We’re lining our aisles with pumpkins. They are colorful, inexpensive, and can be eaten later on! :-)

Have you considered these…
I realize they are supper expensive but you have a few options with it
1. they have a way to rent them
2. you could make one your self
we are making mine because my venue doesn’t allow us to scatter petals and I wanted them so bad honestly it is not as bad as you think it took me about 1 hour to do 8.5 feet, which i felt was not so bad

We’re not doing any aisle decor/runner, but could you maybe DIY something with the petals already attached in those block shapes? That way it’d just be a matter of laying them out on the aisle in the pattern, instead of having to “sculpt” a design.

Very pretty but I like the natural look of scattered petals better, although that last design is gorgeous and may be swaying me . .

You could just line the aisles with a fun design - ombre petals? Check out page 19!

These are awesome! We used a paper garland to “block” the aisle before I walked down. (well, the minister cut the garland, then Mr. Taffy’s mom, then me) :)

@becauseilovehim: I was going to suggest that same website!

I’ve also drooled over many of the same inspiration photos. :) I’d like to decorate our aisle with floating candles! Not sure if that can become reality quite yet, though.

Has anyone actually tried this? The photos are beautiful, but I’d be worried it wouldn’t hold up. Would you have to seat your gets from the outside?

I’ve considered buying an aisle runner and gluing down silk petals in the block or swirl pattern… but it’s a lot of money to spend without knowing that it’ll look good.

If anyone has tried this, let me know how it turned out!

They are all gorgeous, but you’d have to think about what it will look like once you walk through it- I’m thinking your gorgeous design will most likely go hot mess once you walk through it unless you do something like others posted suggesting gluing fake ones down!

You’d also want to consider how a messed up design will photograph- chances are good the photog will take end of aisle photos…

Probably cost-prohibitive, as well as whether or not your venue would allow, not to mention clean up! Reality bites!

I’m in the “it would get ruined as soon as the bride gets down the aisle” camp on this one. Merely because it’s going to cost more and get wrecked faster. I love all of your inspirations photos though!

We’ll be doing the predictable scattered petal aisle for our own wedding.

They are gorgeous artworks, but I think they might turn into a mess in practice. I’d worry that I’d stain my dress and wipe out on them.
