Newport Nuptials: Programs and Ceremony Details : wedding newport pictures pro pics programs recap Augusti David Bibeault

One DIY  I just didn’t have time to share  was our programs. I had debated the need for these, but Starfish Mom thought they were important and I realized I love following along with them at ceremonies, so we went ahead and made these the week before the wedding. Luckily Sister Starfish and Starfish Mom were around to help. We originally made the top design for the cover, with the embossed starfish to follow along with the other paper elements, but realized the embossing was bleeding through, since I used linen resume paper, instead of card stock or regular. So, we came up with the design below. This also made the project much easier, since all we had to do was print, punch holes and tie bows.

Newport Nuptials: Programs and Ceremony Details : wedding newport pictures pro pics programs recap Img 240 The first page listed our wedding party, family and their roles. The second page listed the order of the ceremony and who does what. Since these pages were filled with names, I left them out. The next two pages had the readings, so people could follow along.

Newport Nuptials: Programs and Ceremony Details : wedding newport pictures pro pics programs recap Img 100 The last two pages were my favorite. Since our guests were OOT and we had a Catholic gap, we decided to list out things to do in the area. The last page was a thank you to our friends and family for traveling to celebrate with us, our wedding party for supporting us, and a huge thanks to our parents for everything they do.

The programs were really our only detail for the ceremony other than flowers. I loved the simplicity of our church, so I wanted to keep things simple.

Your programs are lovely! That Robert Browning quote is one of my favorites, too. :)

I love that Browning quote! For our wedding my mom gave us a plaque that has that quote and a carved tree on it and its hanging in our house - I love it!

So cute! I had always have a question about the bees, like you icon match so perfectly to your wedding! so I wonder, you choose your icon according to your wedding? or after you choose your icon you made little changes since you become attached to it? I know it sounds like a silly question, but I’m so curious! LOL.

I love the simplicity of the cover and the comprehensiveness of the inside. And that little starfish you used is cute as a button.

@TotallyPinkaholic: I was planning a starfish wedding ans when I applied, the sea creature generation was just about to come out, so I asked Pengy if they had a starfish coming and they did! I was really excited about it. :)
@bRooklynRocks: Thanks! I used Freebooter, it was from a free site, I think DaFont?

Question for you…what did you list on your program for OOT guests for the gap? I, too, have a gap and am trying to figure out how to word this part! Thanks!

I absolutely love your programs and am trying to achieve a similar look for my sister’s wedding. Can you provide me with any information on where you found the starfish icon used on the front page of the program? I’ve been searching for days and can’t find anything similar!

@MOH: the starfish is actually a stamp from papersource. I think it was about $6-8. Last time I was there, they still had it. If you aren’t interested in a stamp, hopefully you saw gerra523’s comment! :)
