For our first look, we decided to incorporate a Dutch/German tradition which involves the groom going to the bride’s house before the ceremony, knocking on her door, and presenting her with her bouquet. In the photo above, I am excitedly waiting right behind the door…I could see his shadow through the textured glass as he came closer. Then he knocked, and I opened the door…

Helloooo handsome!

Time for a kiss…

We both couldn’t stop smiling the whole time. The one disadvantage of doing our first look this way, of course, is that you can’t really see Mr. E’s expression in these photos. Ah well, we love them anyway.
Remember the awesome stained glass window in this post? Well we made use of it outside the house as well.

After that little posing session, we knew we should start heading to the venue for pre-ceremony pics. We may have been a little excited…

I love this pic because you can see my mum and Mr. E’s dad hugging in the background
Mr E lead me to the London cab (more on that in my next post!) that would take my parents, my bridesmaids, and me to the venue, while his grandfather looked on.

We piled in with our parasols, I had a quick photo with my parents…

And then we were off to the venue!
