If you are wondering where our little blue 1930s Austin went, have no fear—we were just saving her for our getaway. About two weeks before the wedding I suddenly realised that I didn’t quite like the idea of arriving at the venue in my parents’ old van…so it was The Black Cab Company to the rescue with Betsey, their authentic 1968 London cab! I had no idea that I was so obsessed with vintage cars until we planned our wedding.

Betsey was so much fun to ride in, and once we got to Gardens of the World, to take pictures with!
We were very relieved that we had arrived at the garden roughly on time so that we could squeeze in as many pre-ceremony photos as possible with each other and our bridal party.
Flower girl M arrived at the garden about the same time that we did, so we were able to have bridal party shots that included her as well.
The boys got in on the portrait action as well.
While we had all these photos taken, our long-suffering parents and designated friends finished setting up the ceremony area. Before the ceremony, though, Mr E and I had time to have some photos taken of just us in the garden. So before that, I stole a few moments in the cab to touch up…

And then we wandered off into the garden, closely followed by our photographer.
Next up: I let you in on some of that garden romance.
