Big news going on here, Hive. See, remember when I told you about my secret, which was actually Mr. Giraffe’s secret?

Well, if you don’t, I’ll remind you. Three years ago, Mr. G got a giant Miss G tattoo on his back.

I know, hardcore, yo! So, after working up my courage for the last three years, I finally did the same for Mr. Giraffe. I was terrified, and sweaty, and made the artist stop twice because of said freaking out (otherwise, it should have only taken 7 minutes), but I did it!

Normally, I’m a pretty conservative and straight-laced person, so I’m pretty proud of myself that I was able to work up the courage to go through with it! I love it, love it, love it, and am so happy with my decision. Mr. Giraffe is happy too, and I’m so excited that this is something we could share with each other.

Tattooing your person’s name onto your body definitely isn’t for everyone. I know a lot of people think it’s a seriously crazy idea, and others believe the superstition that it’ll cause some sort of break up, but I don’t think that way at all. I’m just happy and excited, and I cannot wait for a photo on my wedding day of putting on fancy shoes, right next to the tattoo that will keep Mr. Giraffe with me at all times.

Anybody else get a tattoo right before their wedding? Besides the awesome Miss Sloth, that is.

Mr G’s tat looks a lot like the one on my right shoulder, except I got my own name (I guess in case I forgot it or something). However now that I am getting hitched I have been getting it lasered off…ouchy!

wow. def. brave! i have 6…and won’t get anymore til after we have kids. but i’ve always said the ONLY names I’ll tattoo are my kids (no, not even my husband’s) but to each their own! and i like the name Tristan!

My fiancé got my “new” initials with my future last name on his chest last year and just recently I tattooed his first name on my left wrist in his own handwriting! I love my tattoo and I love his. Its super sweet!

We got matching tattoos (gasp! the horror!) on our first wedding anniversary. We chose to use the infinity symbol - which looks like the number 8 but sideways - and put our wedding date in the two “holes.”

It was my first, and I swore it would be my last. Ha! I have another one and am already trying to decide what my next one should be.
