As you know, there have been very few projects that I would say were “easy” or that turned out the way I anticipated and had hoped; however, these straw hearts by Andrea Gray Harper are so fabulous, and definitely one of my favorite DIY adventures! They were inexpensive, fun to create, and I’m pretty sure they’ll add a unique element to our cocktail hour!

I ordered those sought-after straws from Sugar Diva. They were pretty inexpensive. I also bought pink felt from my local craft store, and the felt was very inexpensive, too! I printed a heart from the computer (because I’m not capable of drawing a pretty one myself) and used it as a guide to cut the felt. Then, using a hot glue gun, I adhered the heart to the straw leaving enough room for people to still sip from it!

I didn’t make enough for every single guest, but I think I made enough for a few people to try it! I don’t think everyone will be into it; my brother thought it was candy, for instance, but the younger crowd will surely play along!

To avoid confusion, we also made a little heart sign to go along that says “Sip ’n Style!” Truly, the pictures just don’t do these little projects enough justice! They’re so much cuter in real life.
