You guys, I have the best bridesmaids. While my MOH Alisa is hard at work up north planning my bachelorette and BM Leah is booking plane flights to fly all over the country to see us (from her current home in Texas), BMs Jess and Mary Alice are here in Atlanta whipping up these beauties:
Aren’t they amazing?! I so wish I knew where Mr. Panther’s fancycam was so that I could get a better picture of them. My stupid iPhone doesn’t do them justice! What looks like blue tissue fringe is actually this gorgeous teal, and the shimmery color is actually a beautiful metallic peach … And the kraft paper envelopes! Ahhhh! I’m obsessed with them.
And I mean, moving past my crazy love for the invitations, how awesome is it that they’re throwing us a party?! It’s funny—I think I’d feel much stranger about the wedding if I wasn’t the one planning it (for the most part). I never feel like I deserve for someone to throw me a party! I mean, Mr. Panther deserves it, because he’s awesome, but the fact that I’m getting this, and a Connecticut shower, and a bachelorette party … it blows my mind. I am way too lucky.
Anyone else feel totally unworthy of the wonderful things people do for you while you’re a bride-to-be?
I’m loving the theme, too! What a unique idea that is a nice splurge.

YES, so GUILTY! I seriously feel so bad for my girls going through so much effort to do the bachelorette party — much less anything else.

Ooooh, I know EXACTLY what you mean! 7 (!!) of my dear friends are taking a whole weekend, renting two cabins in the woods near Big Sur, and throwing me a “bachelorette” hiking-cooking-and-wine-drinking weekend (i.e. my dream party). Although four of them live in NoCal, the other three are coming from Boston, Portland, and Seattle. I feel totally unworthy and SO grateful. I get teary just thinking about it.
True story - this is being organized by one of my oldest friends, and I haven’t been involved in planning it. She mentioned on the phone to me at one point, “wow, your friends are really together!” I was confused, since this is generally not the case. But every single person responded to her initial email within 24 hours - including one who was on an archeological dig in Ecuador and one who is NOTORIOUS for never ever responding to email. The fact that they all were so prompt and eager about it makes me tear up almost as much the fact that it’s happening in the first place!

Adorable invitations. And I totally know what you mean about feeling like you don’t deserve it. I even do it with the wedding, sometimes I just tell myself I am having my wedding FOR everyone else… it makes it easier to make decisions and spend the $$.
But you DO deserve it and your friends are so awesome for knowing that!

I love blue, it is my favorite. do you if where does bridal shower originate? I’m a little bit curious. But good luck to your party. I know that you will really enjoy it. Bring it on!
Those are so cute. I understand about the friends doing so much for you but just know that they are as excited as you are.
