Topping It Off

April 10th, 2011 @ 3:55 pm by Ms. Gazelle

I don’t know if I have mentioned before that I lurve Etsy. Really, it is official.

Amazing handcrafted jewellery? Check! Stunning hair pieces? Check! One of a kind boutonnieres? You betcha!

My latest love is for custom-made cake toppers. After all, how beautiful is this one from Lollipop Workshop?

Or this one from Milk Tea?

I love that these cake toppers will be made to match your hair colouring,  your glasses if you have them, even the style of dress you will be wearing. Just amazing!

What about going in a different direction with love birds?

Mr. Gazelle loves them too and is totally on board. We’ll have to see if it fits in the budget, but he views it as a keepsake from the big day.

Which cake topper is your favourite? What are you topping your cake with?

I love the last two bird toppers! Adorable!
We are just having flowers as a cake topper, though.

We are ordering a custom cake topper from Mud Cards on etsy. I will be on the laptop and the fh will be fishing. She is customizing it to match our wedding attire. I know one of the bees ordered a cake topper from her a while ago (Miss Elephant? Maybe.)

I love those freaking lollipop workshop cake toppers so freaking much. I am totally freaking out over them. I want to ask for one for my birthday present this year, just so it doesn’t count towards the freaking budget!

The lovebirds from Brittania are my favorite! So cute. I love that you can customize the bride and groom on the first two!

Our wedding is over a year away, so we haven’t thought about cake toppers yet. I will save this post for when we get there, though! :)

Yay for cake toppers! We purchased two, and I’m really looking forward to displaying them after the wedding. I think the last one with the birds holding the wedding date is so cute!

I’m not into cutesy but love Etsy. I found a seller on Esty who made a cake topper for us that is a robot bride and groom customized with our colors and the bride is holding a taco. We love tacos and love Mexico. Also, she made a miniature of our bulldog with the robots.

We ordered one from Milk Tea with the clouds and Miss Waffle is right…the owner is so sweet and accommodating. Our’s should be here soon too! I justified the cost by saying (hoping) we’ll celebrate each anniversary with a mini cake and we can top it with our topper each year for fun. Since it’s custom (with our hair color, my dress, etc.) I don’t think any future children will want to use it :)

Ahhhh! I love them all, and I love Etsy too—perhaps too much. I think because I am not very crafty, I let other people be crafty for me. Heheh. I’m partial to the very last one. Super cute.

I purchased a Lollipop Workshop topper a couple months ago. They are really great to work with and they do everything custom, I can’t wait to see it come in June. Order early though because they need time to make it! :) I’m bias, but I’d say go with the 1st one :)

I ordered our cake topper from Strawberries & Cream and I got a notice that it’s waiting for me in our leasing office. She’s really great to work with, and sent pictures of the final product before she shipped it. I can’t wait to pick it up!

There was no Etsy back when I got married so I did flowers. I LOVE the Lollipop Workshop topper but Brittania’s little birds are a close second!
