Well hello, hive. Miss Pony here! It’s great to finally meet you! I’m still not convinced this is real yet, so please forgive me if I ramble a bit or seem discombobulated. I never dreamed I would actually be writing on the mane (ha!) page for the hive!
I was sitting at work (clearly working very hard) when my phone made a familiar buzz. I thought, “I bet that’s an email from Weddingbee.” Lo and behold, it was from our very own Pengy telling me I had been chosen to be a bee. With hands shaking, I texted Mr. Pony: “OMG. I think they picked me to be a bee.” (Yes, I am very eloquent.) After letting my heart rate return to a normal level, I needed to celebrate.
Since my office is full of windows, I managed to find the only enclosed space in our entire office (the bathroom) to do my happy dance, Love Actually style.

Needless to say, I didn’t get much work done the rest of the day. Who cares about drafting an amended complaint when I just got the email that I am going to be a bee?!? Certainly not this gal. It’s all about priorities.
I’m not going to lie, I may have tried to give myself good bee vibes by wearing my special “be mine” socks that day, too. I guess it worked!
Please disregard the scuffiness. I was too excited to show off my awesome socks to change into decent shoes. (personal picture)
Now, you should know a little more about these Ponies, since we’re going to be great friends and all.

Mr. Pony and I have been together for just over three years, after meeting in the most romantic place on Earth: law school (har). I was drawn to Mr. Pony because of his great smile and laid-back attitude, but his Southern charm won my heart. Mr. Pony is a former engineer turned patent guy who loves wine, building stuff, and breaking out into original numbers at random. I am a type-A perfectionist who never takes myself too seriously. Born on Earth Day, I have a penchant for all things green and earthy, but I also adore all the wonderful things TV has to offer. I love quotes and magnets, and quotes on magnets make me absolutely giddy. Almost as giddy as I get over beans. I love me some beans.
In our free time the Ponies like to heckle the TV, try new foods, perfect the double question, enjoy the outdoors, and work on all my crazy wedding ideas.
We hail from different regions of the country—Mr. Pony from Tennessee and me from Illinois—but we both grew up in small towns, so we decided to pay homage to our roots with a small-town wedding full of all the things and people we love.

So, why the Ponies? We (OK, I) chose the adorable pony icon because it is so cute and as a nod to FMIL Pony’s love of horses.

I am ecstatic to bee here (yeah, I went there), and I can’t wait to share our wedding plans with everyone and soak up all the hive awesomeness!
Get excited…it’s time to (Miss) Pony it up!
