It’s time to talk wedding jewelry! I don’t like to over-accessorize, so when I started looking, I was looking for some very simple, pretty jewelry that was either rhinestone or pearl. (The beading of my dress has both sparkles and seed pearls.)

The accessories I’ve already picked are my veil, garter, and shoes. In addition, I would like a bracelet and some sparkly, dangly earrings. My dress has enough going on at the top of the bodice that I think I can get away with not wearing a necklace. (I don’t want to take away from the dress either.)

Although, isn’t this cool???

Aunt Hyena offered to let me borrow a pair of earrings that was really similar to this pair, but they were yellow gold and I’d prefer to go with silver or white gold for the wedding.

Ooh I love the dangly earrings and the chunky necklace above.

I wore a “statement” necklace and it turned out fantastic. It was a statement to me b/c I’m not a big chunky jewelry girl normally. It was two thick strands of pearls clasped together by a sparkly flower. I got LOTS of compliments on it! Even better, it was originally $58, marked down to $8. HA! Score one for the bridal budget!

I’m going with the simple route, I think. I don’t wear statement jewelry in my day to day life, so I don’t want to rock the boat too wildly come W-day.

Drooling over that first necklace! I love statement jewelry but it would’ve been “too much” with my gown. So I guess I’m keeping it simple with just earrings but they’re bold and have color. Excited to see what you end up selecting!

I found a beautiful vintage necklace, silver with rhinestone flowers and silver leaves. My dress (Sonya by Maggie Sottero) has a rhinestone embellishment at the hip but no other bling, so I wanted to turn the sparkle up with my jewelry! Still on the lookout for a bracelet and sparkly stud earrings, though.
