You may or may not have noticed from various pictures of Mr. E through my time blogging on Weddingbee that he has some tattoos on his arm.

When we first started dating, he was finishing up his 3rd masterpiece. He has always wanted to get more tattoos, but in the past four years his extra money was going to rent, bills, school, date nights, his car, and the wedding. Since our guest count came in lower then we were budgeting for and have saved more than we need for the wedding, he decided it was time to get more ink.
I’ve never seen someone get tattooed before, so I thought it would be fun to go with him. I asked what he was planning on getting, and he said, “a grim reaper.” This goes with the theme of tattoos that he already has (zombie, dragon, skull). so I didn’t second guess it.
As we walked into Innovative Ink and started talking with Paul, I almost cried happy tears. It turns out Mr. E has been working on a tattoo that would represent our love! We always talked about how he would never get any names tattooed, but I never thought that he was planning on getting something that represents both of us.
After outlining the tat
The tattoo is a heart shape with a hint of a ying yang, the circles replaced by a casino chip on one side (for my love of Vegas, and our very first big trip together) and a movie reel on the other side (we are pretty big movie lovers). The heart is filled with the Philly Love sign to represent my state of birth, and the UNT logo to represent Texas, and Mr. E’s college. There wasn’t enough space, but the original heart also included the A&M logo for my college, and the Texas lone star for Mr. E. It really touches my heart that Mr. E would get something so meaningful to both of us tattooed on his body!

I love the idea of a symbolic love tattoo! I personally would have had to known what it looked like first - I don’t like those type of surprises.
love it im a UNT alumni…my first tattoo was a butterfly and it meant my rebirth…
We both agreed that,like you,having each others names was a no-no,but hes a life size heart on his chest with a chain and padlock around it,and I have a key tattooed on my right hip!
The best thing is,whilst FI was having his done,the tattoo artist said he could see the heart beating as he was inking it (the inked heart is over where his heart actually is,and is very realistic,veins and all lol)so it looked like the tattoo heart was beating!

I have a skull and crossbones on my right ankle with one of my best friends - signifies our crazy upbringing, and how we both survived and got out alive. My sister has a rose with a rosary in the middle of her back for our grandma, and I am going to get something similar on my left shoulder blade or on my ribcage…

I have a tattoo of a sun on my hip for my baby sister. She is moving far away from me for the first time this year to go to college and it was my way of having a constant reminder of her!
I’m going to get a tattoo of a bird b/c my fiance has one and he’s going to get a tattoo of an owl b/c they’re my favorite
So nice! I love it when men are sentimental because, let’s face it, that doesn’t always happen. My FI and I don’t have any tattoos for eachother but I do have a very meaningful tattoo. My mother was killed by a drunk driver last June so in her honor I have a cartoon flamingo with a halo and sunflowers on my inner arm. It’s much more beautiful than it sounds, I swear! My cousin got the same thing as me with different flowers and my other cousin got a cartoon flamingo on her calf. We had them all done at the same time so it was also a bonding moment for all of us (they’re like my sisters).
Mr. g and I have each other’s names, and that’s our only tattoos :).
That is sooooo sweet of Mr. E! And its even extra sweet because he got the whole thing colored in! It had to hurt soooooo bad! Tell Mr. E I think he’s hardcore!
Wow! That’s so cool he did that! I’ve never gotten a tattoo, but this looks painful!

Mr. Dolphin got his first tattoo on our honeymoon in Maui! He had been wanting one for awhile and it was sort of on a whim. We were both at the beach and I said “hey do you want to get that tattoo you’ve wanted,” and he said “yeah, but of what.” I then drew our initials (we have the same) squared = <3. He loved it. Our own little math equation for love. He had it tattooed on his back the day before we left. It was so incredibly romantic and exciting. I’ll never forget him getting something so meaningful to us both, on our honeymoon. I smile every time I see it!
My fiance has one of an angel holding his love. he told me it represents us and how hell always protect me <3 love Mr. E’s!
That’s so sweet! What a great surprise 
Mr. S doesn’t have any tats. I’ve got one on my wrist but none dedicated to the Sealman (yet).
