Mr E and I had arranged it so we would get a sneaky look at the reception/ tea and cupcake hour area all set up before everyone else descended on it. And I’m so glad we did. It was very satisfying to see everything we had worked so hard on come together.
Making our way over to the site…Mr E was a very diligent train bearer! (Guest photo)
Everything was better than I could have hoped for. Mr E, the groomsmen, and other friends had done an amazing job and I was blown away.
There were chocolate truffles and Hershey’s kisses galore…
Nine picnic blankets were laid out with trays of teacups we had thrifted, plus some cushions my mum and I sewed (guest photo)….
Everyone enjoyed copious amounts of tea (guest photo)….
…and the cupcakes I baked and my sisters, grandmother and mother decorated were a hit, too!
The Tea and Cupcake Hour turned out to be a really fun part of the day. It meant everyone could relax and unwind from the ceremony, and ease into the rest of our picnic reception.
Next up: Our cake revealed!
