What is it about men that allows an otherwise PITA chore to be so effortless?

Case in point: On an errand-filled Saturday, I suggested we pop into Macy’s to just browse through the ties. And half an hour later, Mr. PaC had found not only his tie, but also coordinating ties for his groomsmen!

I couldn’t believe it! I had spent countless hours online in search of preppy, spring-colored ties, but to no avail. My funk was short lived after realizing we had crossed one more thing off our gigantic to-do list. With all of his spare time, I think I’ll ask Mr. PaC to tackle something big…like the playlists.

Does your man make quick work of shopping, or is it more of a drawn-out ordeal?

Very stylish ties! I so wish Mr. Tartlet were as efficient as Mr. PaC when it came to shopping.

Wow… I went through the EXACT same situation just this morning!! In fact we looked (and may still go with the first yellow striped tie). But we don’t know which one yet until because shopping is a really really drawn out deal…!!!!! I really like you ties!!!!

I so wish finding ties for our guys would be as effortless as it was for you. I’ve found several I like, but FI is being super picky about it! Plus, he refuses to pay more than $20 per tie, so that reeeaaally limits the selection!

@Miss Tartlet: Either it’s efficiency or damned determination to spend under an hour shopping. Whatever it is, I’ll take it!
@stellamae: Going into dept stores, instead of fruitlessly searching online, was a much better way to go. Usually I can find more selection online but no one seemed to have yellow ties yet. You can always buy a few ties with the intention of giving the ones he doesn’t select to the groomsmen.
@Bubu82: Under $20 is tough. Maybe Marshall’s/TJ Maxx? I know selection is limited and varied there. His tie could always be a “gift” from you, thereby eliminating the $20 limit!
@Miss Pony: He is charmed.
@mariewest: The guys haven’t seen them in person yet, but they were as excited as guys could be over ties when we texted them a picture.

I went suit shopping with the FI once and that was it. He’s in charge of his ties, shoes, suits etc for him and his guys. I trust him to come up with something appropriate. He didn’t help when I was running around like God knows what looking for my dress and accessories Actually he’s going wedding shopping this weekend with his BM *Gulp*
