As we arrived to the Atlantic beach club, cocktail hour was nearing and guests had already started to trickle in. As we stepped off the trolley, we were welcomed by familiar faces and headed down to the beach. We snuck in a few more photos of me and Mr. Starfish. Our photographer, Dave, was excited I had a long veil because they make for fun shots on windy days in Newport. Too bad my veil wasn’t cooperating.

We had BIL and Sister Starfish take turns simulating a windy day for us by throwing the veil in the air. This was all fine until one of their attempts literally pulled the veil right off my head.

Despite a bit of pain, we did get some great photos!

We also did some classic New England Beach photos (maybe these are classics every where, but I see them a lot around here?). We did the jump shot.

Then we ran on the beach.

Then we had a little fun. There was a volleyball net on the beach and our wedding party just couldn’t resist.

Bouquets were getting served, spiked to the ground and petals were flying through the air.

I don’t think our florist would be amused!

Our guests looked on…some laughed, some looked confused.

But we had fun! Isn’t that what happens when you’re with friends?

After serving as the ref, I was ready to mingle with guests. The groomsmen, Mr. Starfish and I headed to cocktail hour. But the Starfish Girls weren’t quite done with the fun. They decided to get a few more shots. Coming up next: The Starfish Girls’ photo shoot!
