Oh, it is so great. I think I’m handling it more gracefully than any bride who has ever lived.

Here is a transcript of a Gmail chat with Pdog to prove it:

me: it is starting to sink in how close our wedding is.

J : why panic? people are going to show up, we are going to get married, there will be food, cake, a DJ, and champagne

me: YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND ANYTHING YOU ARE CRAZY AND STUPID

J : i love my life

Anyone else a few weeks out and fluctuating between beyond-thrilled / totally over it / panicked / completely calm? (Also, you got that I was just kidding with Pdog, right? I’m neurotic and perpetually over-caffeinated, but I’m not mean.)

I am totally with you! It is crazy how close we are. It hasn’t totally sunk in yet, but I am hoping it will soon. Some days I am really excited, some days I think we will never get everything done in time.

Haha… thank you for brightening my mood. I also have tears of panic, which is an excellent way to describe it. I am 12 days away…. ACK! Any thoughts on how to get rid of the permanent migraine I have developed?

ahhh i SO GET IT. in fact, when i read this on my google reader i clicked over here so that i could see your bio and confirm: my first thought was, miss prairie dog MUST be the one who’s also getting married in May.

AHHHHH!!! “eyond-thrilled / totally over it / panicked / completely calm” is a remarkably accurate way of describing it.

Yes!!! I think this is also because my guy is rather clueless about all the details that need to get tied up in the end as he’s not really involved with them/they’re not important to him!

Yeah, I had one of those “teary breakdowns” yesterday. As of today we’re 60 days our from our wedding and I can’t get a hold of our photographer and we still don’t have a reception venue.

Yep. And FI came up with the perfect distraction… Deciding at the last minute that we SHOULD honeymoon within 2 months of getting married, instead of waiting until after his deployment. Bar Harbor, Maine, here we come… Not that FI or I’d ever heard of you before this afternoon.

I am getting married in 6 days and am all of the above (beyond-thrilled / totally over it / panicked / completely calm) and exhausted. But excitement is slowly becoming the dominant emotion. I’m getting butterflies when I think about it!

I am totally in stress overload mode right now. On Friday I start my next graduate school semester & will be gone for a week to residency. I won’t be done with residency till exactly a week before the wedding. So the way I see it all my projects need to be done by Thursday night this week. My FI on the other hand has school (he takes courses online) and slacked a lot last month so now he has 3 papers to write on top of preparing for finals. He has yet to buy his groomsmen presents and since we live a good 2 hours from any real malls its really stressing me out.

For some reason everyone else seems to need my help with stupid stuff right now which isn’t helping my stress level. Residency is usually stressful for me but this time I am actually looking forward to it because I won’t be able to do anything wedding while I’m there and I might even get to relax a little

lol Yes! we have about 7 more weeks but I know what ya mean! My emotions are all over the place! I’m always making lists upon lists to try to keep organized. It’s the accounting blood in me. …now on to walmart to get a few totes…
