After a short leave of absence to take care of some overdue travel, Mr. Caro and I are back! We had a great Easter in Paris and, along with macarons, shopping and gourmet food, we also found our alternative universe perfect wedding venue.
You know the parallel universe theory? The one that basically says (in very basic terms, please forgive my ignorance) that there are infinite parallel universes right next to ours, where infinite versions of yourself exist and perhaps make difference choices and live different lives. I like this theory because it makes me think that, if I didn’t get to do something in this life, I managed to do it in another. Perhaps in one I am a world famous novelist, and in another I have a perfect metabolism and can eat whatever I want without gaining a pound. Of course in all Mr. Caro and I somehow end up together!
And perhaps in some other alternate universe I will have my wedding reception at the Pavillons the Bercy: this place is so amazing I have to share in case any of you want to get married or are planning a trip to Paris!

But first in order: Mr. Caro and I love Paris and try to go whenever we can. Our favorite activities are:
- Chilling in Montmatre
- Lunch and macarons at Ladurée
- Dinner at Chez Paul (yes, that is bone marrow and it’s delicious)
And to try something different, we decided to visit the Pavillons de Bercy on recommendation of a friend. Well, this was BY FAR the most interesting and fun activity of our stay!
The Pavillons de Bercy is a private museum which hosts one of the most renowned and extensive collections of funfair objects in the world. It is a realm of magic funfair, theater and carnival. All the rides in the museum are authentic and can be enjoyed during the tour! It can also be rented out for events.
Hard to picture how it would look for an event?

We had so much fun during the tour, I would recommend it totally! We also managed to take the below picture that I am thinking of using for my wedding…more on that later!
Would you also have your alternate wedding there? Or is there another place you can’t help dreaming of?
