The Right Of a Bride…

April 29th, 2011 @ 10:55 am by Mrs. Cinnamon Bun

… is to change her mind.

I’d like my wedding day look to be a bit of a surprise (even just a tiny bit!) so honey:

The Right Of a Bride… : wedding calgary veil 5172565 Cinnamon-Buns-No-Lookie

(Don’t worry Cinnamon Buns, this isn’t a post about buying a new dress! I’m very happy with the one I have!)

I didn’t think I wanted a veil (apart from maybe a scrap of veiling on a fascinator), but the other day I saw this one on Etsy:

The Right Of a Bride… : wedding calgary veil Il 570x1 il_570x

I’m at the point where if I’m going to buy things online, I need to do it soon so they get here in time, so I need to make up my mind. The thing is, I’ve already bought one yard of very similar French netting (the one with bigger holes) to try and make my own fascinator, but I haven’t started that project yet. I’m wondering if just ordering this love-at-first-sight veil will take off some stress? The netting only cost me $4, so I’m not really losing much money on that purchase.

Maybe I could have the veil for the ceremony, and make something more informal for the reception? Paper flowers to match the men’s bouts?

Take it from someone who has been there. When you are this close to the wedding and the idea strikes you to buy it, buy it. You don’t be sorry. ;)

Ditto, CB - if you truly love it, buy it and cross that item off your “to do” list. I love the tulle and netting combination!

Such a pretty veil, I say go for it and enjoy the time you would be making the veil with Mr. CB.

I’ll throw in my “me-too” here…take the DIY veil project off your list and buy the gorgeous one.

That veil is very beautiful, considering how close you are I’d advise to buy it and tick it off the list!
