Sparks and I will be heading to a friend’s destination wedding later this month, and we are REALLY looking forward to it. It’s still kind of chilly up here in Chicago, and I’ve been counting down the days ’til St. Thomas ever since we got our save the date. Today, as I sat day dreaming about the cute, warm weather outfits I’ll be able to wear, I started imagining my own honeymoon. Ahhhhh, warm breezes, exciting day trips, delicious meals… perfection. Then I realized, I haven’t even told you guys where we’re going!
Where in the world will the Sparklers honeymoon???

Sparks and I had three places in mind when we started planning the honeymoon: Hawaii, Spain and Italy. I was really pulling for Spain, Sparks really wanted Italy, and Mom Sparkler thought Hawaii would be best.
Each destination offered so many amazing reasons to go, it was really hard to choose…
Spain

Amazing architecture, delicious tapas y sangria, and the chance to visit the place that has been my #1 travel destination since 11th grade. I could picture us wandering the sunny beaches of Barcelona, and partying until sunrise on Ibiza. Sparks, however, imagined a too-packed site-seeing schedule and a stressed out new wife. But I changed his mind when I mentioned the possibility of a day trip to Morocco and Gibraltar!
Italy

Ultimate romance. The food, the art, the scenery… the WINE! Sparks did a really good job of selling me on an Italy honeymoon. He definitely did his homework. Choosing Italy would take us From Venice to Rome to Positano. Our very own Italian adventure. Mmmmm I can almost taste the Bolognese sauce and Chianti.
Hawaii

Um, LOST was filmed here. Do we need another reason to go? OK, OK.. the Mai Tais, island music and fresh sushi are also excellent reasons to go to Hawaii. It would be soooo relaxing and the weather would be warm and beautiful. There really aren’t a lot of reasons NOT to go… besides the fear of being too “cliché.” But we don’t care about cliché. We care about LOST. And fruity drinks.

I think you’ll have an amazing time wherever you end up (I’d choose Hawaii just to relax), but had to tell you how cute your little photos of you and your fiance are at each location!
Totally loving your photoshop skills! Hmm, I’m guessing Italy or Spain!
You can’t go wrong with any of these, but I’m going to say Spain! Especially with the possibilities of day trips to Morocco and Gibraltar!
We’re going to Italy too! First to Florence, then on to Rome…can’t wait! My idea of a honeymoon has always been Hawaii, but FI’s went there for his first honeymoon….ouch!
If it were me the day trip to Morocco would sell it for me!! 
That sounds muy romantic!
And the beaches of Barcelona are fabulous!
I’m going to Italy in July for a wedding (and, like you, have been counting down the days since BEFORE I got the Save The Date!) so I’m hoping you guys picked Italy but I feel like it might be Hawaii!
We’re going on a European cruise to Spain, France and Italy. We had a hard time deciding so we thought, why not see them all? We’re going Royal Carribbean and it was suprisingly affordable! I’ve lived in Hawaii and while it’s the most beautiful place I’ve been to thus far, it can be VERY touristy (borderline cheesy) in some areas. Good luck!
All destinations I would want to go for a honeymoon - so romantic! The only one I have been to is Barcelona, so if you choose there, feel free to ask for some recommendations! Otherwise… Italy ?
Since Spain has been your dream destination since you were in the 11th grade, my guess is that is where you chose to go for your honeymoon. Plus, you and Spark could do a short trip to Italy from Spain and see both countries.
Ooh, hard choice - sipping Chianti after a day spent strolling the streets of Venice or sipping Sangria at dinner, followed by a leisurely stroll down Las Ramblas in Barcelona??? Hmm, I’ve done both and you really can’t go wrong either way! Hawaii is nice too but doesn’t even begin to compare to Italy or Spain! Can’t wait to see what you chose!
Spain fo’ sho’! It’s your dream! And Sparks totally wants to make your dreams come true (and he can go to Morocco)!
I vote for Italy but I am biased cause I am going there for my honeymoon.
Spain! That’s where my parents went for their honeymoon.
I like Hawaii and would like to visit it sometime with Mr CB, but my problem is that if I’m going somewhere tropical, I want to be somewhere exotic, not somewhere that is part of the USA. It’s nothing against the USA, but USA does not = “exotic” to me, it’s just our neighbour.
Can’t wait to see where you’re going!
I would be thrilled to go to any of the three! My guy didn’t want me planning another event and asked that we go somewhere mellow, saving the cultural trip for an anniversary.
oh man, I did the LOST tour when I was in Hawaii last… and it. was. amazing.
If you decide to go to Hawaii, you should DEFINITELY do it 
We’re going to Italy! Doing the open-jaw ticket and flying into the Venice and out of Rome with lots of things in the middle I vote for Italy!
I say Hawaii because that’s where we’re going. However, I suspect you’re going to Spain since it’s been your dream destination since high school.
