About Mrs. Ostrich

So remember waaaaaay back when I shared my DIY Wedding CD Favor project? I walked you step by step, even teased you with an image of the artwork and song list, but left you hanging without a photo of the finished product…

…until now!

Here they are, our CD Wedding favors, sitting prettily on the silver chargers of our wedding guests’ table settings… :)

** Time Saving Tip!: Instead of printing out the album covers on inkjet paper and spray mounting every. single. one on a CD sleeve, I got a few hours of my life back by printing out the album cover artwork on full sheet labels and cutting them down to size with my paper cutter. WAYYY easier…and so. much. quicker. **

As for the song list, Mr. O added more of his faves and I revisited and switched up some of mine….so here are the final tracks!

The Ostrich Wedding Soundtrack

And similar to Mrs. Tiramisu’s sweet Escort Card CDs, we purchased our music from—where else?—iTunes. :)

From the iTunes site:

“You shall be authorized to burn an audio play list up to seven times. You shall be entitled to export, burn (if applicable) or copy (if applicable) products solely for personal, noncommercial use.”

Our guests were thrilled with the CD Favors and since everyone rented a car to zip around the island last weekend, this CD got a lot of playtime in a bunch of Hawaii jeeps and convertibles the days after the wedding. Awesome!

Any other CD favor brides out there? What are some of your favorite songs on your list?

I love our CD favors. I made the CD covers by hand based on a template I found online and then glued on a setlist and created CD labels. They were all songs that we love separately or as a couple. When we first started dating, it turned out that we were both listening to the same 2 CDs. But my favorite song on the Jimmy Eat World disc was the track we always skipped.
