Oh geez, I don’t even know where to start with this one, my dear hive.
I think I’ll begin by asking you to put on a bit of background music. Pretty please?
It feels like graduation day. It is hard to believe that I started my Weddingbee journey in December…2009. Hive, you have been there for me through it all: through the venue selection, our save the date drama, my search for vintage-y vases, our somewhat disappointing revelation that we would have to cancel our honeymoon, my decision to completely change our floral inspiration…you name it! You were all there! I can’t thank you enough. You have shared my excitement over little details that most others could probably care less about, and sent me words of support when I was feeling down about aspects of the planning process.
I don’t know how to articulate exactly how much I have loved sharing our wedding day with you. Over the past months, I have truly enjoyed reliving such an important day in Mr. Buttons’ and my lives. It is hard to believe that we are (quickly) approaching our one year anniversary at this point.

Ha! Classy, huh? Anyway, I can tell you this: we love married life. It has been wonderful getting settled into our own little routine, yet also experiencing exciting new things together. I am eager to see what the world has in store for us in the years to come, and I am insanely happy in the present day. I learn to love Mr. Buttons in new ways each and every day, and I think it is probably safe to say that he does the same. We really do have a great life.
This is absolutely not the last you’re going to hear from me, so don’t get TOO sad just yet. Remember when I mentioned that Mr. Buttons and I had to cancel our honeymoon? Well, I’m happy to report that we officially have [a very belated] one booked for the end of October this year! So, you better believe that I will return to share our experiences with you.
However, in the meantime…I would love it if you would come visit me over at She Likes Ruffles, He Likes Truffles. I share lots of food, my everyday fashion, and expound on my neurotic tendencies (I do an “anti-monster” hop by the side of my bed at night…don’t judge). Please stop by and say hello!
