While Mr. Cardigan and I were outside posing for photos and getting in some quality alone time, our guests were inside mingling, drinking, and having some delicious appetizers!

Oh, hi, Mrs. Socks!

Once we wrapped up our photos outside, we came inside and did some quick photos with our families and wedding party (which you’ve already seen).

Once that was all finished, it was finally time to relax, enjoy ourselves, and spend some time with the people who’d come from near and far to celebrate with us!

I wish that I would have had some more of the appetizers (I know you’ve all heard it a million times, but seriously—EAT THE FOOD!) but what I had was incredible. We had a passed hours d’oeuvre of peppered roast beef with aioli and walnuts, and then there was the most beautiful cheese, cracker, and fruit display I’ve ever seen in my life.

We definitely spent the majority of our time at the cocktail hour hovered around that display!

Soon enough, the DJ was asking us if we were ready to have our big entrance! We hadn’t talked about it at all beforehand, and no one in our wedding party is a big fan of the spotlight, so we decided that Mr. Cardigan and I would be the only ones to have an official entrance.

When we were getting ready to head in, we grabbed our escort cards—and I couldn’t stop smiling about the fact that mine had my shiny new last name on it. I absolutely hate to have to blur this next photo, but it’s one of my favorites, so I can’t resist sharing!

And then, it was time to go eat! I can’t even tell you what song was playing as we came in—we didn’t plan for it, so I’m pretty sure the DJ just picked something. All I remember is walking into the dining room, hearing all of our friends and loved ones clapping for us, and smiling like crazy people.

We sat down at our table where our bridal party was already seated, and it was finally time to get the party started!
