Mrs. Hyena, College Station, TX Age and Occupation: 23, Marketing Specialist Fiance's Age and Occupation: 24, Aerospace Engineering Grad Student Engagement Date: January 8, 2010 Wedding Date: May 2011 Venue: Downtown 202 About Me: I'm a Texas girl who met my future hubby in high school, then headed up to Oklahoma for a college education (BOOMER SOONER!) before moving back to the Lone Star State to be with him. I love reading and recycling, Photoshop and reality TV, making lame jokes and then laughing at them, quoting movies, and Mr. Hyena most of all. I'm perpetually early and I like to get things accomplished. When my cat meows at me, I meow back. We're planning a laid-back, unintentionally DIY wedding with a cocktail-party vibe, and can't wait to celebrate our nuptials with our nearest and dearest!
About Mrs. Hyena

I finally bought all the songs on our playlists, and I’m slowly “finalizing” them all by listening to them and making sure I like the order.

First things first, I listened to our pre-ceremony playlist. This music makes me so, so happy. Next came the processional. I imagined our families walking to their seats in the church…I imagined my walk…and then I imagined Mr. H’s face as I walked down the aisle. And then I started crying.

Hold yourself together, woman! You’re not there yet!

Did you/will you cry when you walk down the aisle?

Oh my…I do the same thing everyvtime I hear the song that I am walking down the aisle to!! I often wonder if maybe I shouldn’t use it since I can’t even keep the tears away BEFORE the wedding LOL!

Awww hahaha. Love it. I always cry at people’s weddings, so I am terrified that I will cry at ours.

I cry at everything so naturally I thought I would have the ugly cry face during the walk down the isle and through the whole ceremony. To my (and everyone else’s) surprise, I didn’t cry! I only got a little choked up during the vows.

I always cry at others’ weddings, and I would cry listening to our processional music, but I didn’t cry at ours :) I was smiling pretty much the whole walk down

I also cried when thinking about it beforehand but did not cry at the actual thing. Not even a little choke! I was just too nervous and distracted to think about what was really happening. It happens so fast!

I will probably cry. I am a crier and I know it. Don’t worry, my makeup artist has already been warned. ;)

I’m sure I’m going to bawl. Anyone know how to avoid the ugly cry??

I cried but thought it would be like 100 times worse than it was. Just focus on the vows and everything that is happening and you’ll be ok.

Did you have that moment when the wedding really became real to you? They say that’s when you really let it all out.
For me, that happened when I was actually walking down the aisle, and I sobbed the ENTIRE ceremony.
If you’ve already had that moment, then maybe you’ll be okay during the big day itself! :)

@MCC919: I’m hoping this is what happens, but I’ve invested in some waterproof mascara just in case!
@blanket: This would be good too. I’m nervous just thinking about it!

I teared up whenever I listened to the bridal processional music, and I was actually OK the day of until I stepped into the room and saw everyone looking my way. The wave of emotion that hit me was really unexpected (in a good way), but I couldn’t stop smiling through it all!
