Mr. Balloons and I narrowed it down and decided who we’d like to join us in Colorado on our big day. These are the “Will you be my bridesmaid?” cards that I sent my girls:

The customizable template came from Wedding Chicks.
I used the template from the Wedding Chicks website and customized it into my colors. Then I uploaded the design onto VistaPrint where I created it into a folding card. I hand wrote a personalized message into each girl’s card. I wanted to send out these cards instead of asking them in person because I didn’t want them to feel pressured to say yes; because it’s going to be a destination wedding and the expense is going to be greater on them, I wanted them to have plenty of time to think it over before responding. Everyone ended up saying yes! There will be seven girls on my side and seven guys on Mr. B’s side. The only iffy thing is that my sister is a bridesmaid, but she is in the Air Force and currently stationed in Japan. She’s based in Misawa, which luckily didn’t get as much major damage from the Tsunami as other parts of Japan. She is, however, working day and night to help other areas recover from this devastating disaster and is unsure if she will be allowed to have leave time when the wedding comes around. Fingers crossed that she can make it, but I appreciate greatly what she’s doing to help in Japan.
Did you have anyone in your wedding party who was sort of “up in the air”? How did you handle it when planning?
