Mrs. Argyle's Picture
Mrs. Argyle, St. Louis Age and Occupation: 24, Project Coordinator Fiance's Age and Occupation: 24, Pilot Engagement Date: February 15, 2009 Wedding Date: September 2010 Venue: Jewel Box in Forest Park and Windows on Washington About Me: I'm a true Midwestern girl (born and raised), lover of red wine, reality TV and the entire J.Crew catalog. I love to dance regardless of who is watching, and enjoy a good laugh with my girls. I have a soft spot in my heart for planet Earth, my two dogs and my fiance. Fall is my favorite season (which is why we are marrying in September), but I love a warm summer day and the Colorado mountains in the winter. We are planning a modern soiree downtown, with lots of bold colors, and fun, eco-friendly elements.
About Mrs. Argyle

So, hey there hive! I promise I am alive and well, and with honeymoon photos and stories to share!

Mr. A and I decided to leave for our big Greek trip the Monday after our wedding, giving us all of Sunday to recoup, relax and pack. We jetted off about noon on Monday and set off for a lovely 11 hours of flying (that, trust me, was worth it). We arrived in Athens around 3 PM and were shuttled off to our hotel, the Athens Gate Hotel, which was in a wonderful location. With the weather beautiful, we took a quick stroll around town, then headed back to the hotel for quick nap. That flight surely took a lot out of us. We woke up just in time for dinner and to get a wonderful view of the Acropolis.

Can you tell we’re a bit jet-lagged?

After a night of enjoying a few drinks overlooking downtown and the Acropolis, we woke up bright and early to enjoy a Mediterranean breakfast before our grand tour of Athens. We visited a number of historical sites, but obviously the grandest of them being the Acropolis and Parthenon. The size of everything is just insane. You think you have an idea of how large everything is, but experiencing it in person is awe inspiring. Just crazy. I’m warning you—picture overload coming.

Our next few days in Athens were spent wandering the streets, eating in outdoor cafes, visiting a few other historical sites and just exploring the city at our own pace. It was such an amazing experience, and the hubs and I were excited to check this one off of our bucket list.

We’re going to Greece! I’ve been to Athens before but am psyched to go with my fiance who’s never been to Greece (but studied classics and ancient Greece). We’re also planning on going to Crete and Santorini which will be new to both of us. Just started making concrete plans the other day and I am so excited!

Looking forward to more of your pictures. :)

We went to Greece as part of ours, loved it. More on that if I ever make it to my honeymoon recaps.

We are staying in Santorini and Athens before going on a sailboat cruise to a few other stops in Greece, then Croatia, before landing in Venice for a few days. I CAN’T WAIT!!! Is it wrong to say at this point I prefer the honeymoon to the wedding that is in 53 days???

I’d love to go to Greece someday. The only European destinations we’ve been to are Italy and Germany (well just the airport in Germany, but it counts!).

So jealous! Greece was our first choice, but the weather there in November wasn’t ideal so we had to pick a runner-up. Can’t wait to read all about your trip, though, and live vicariously through you!

I think Greece may need to be added to our future Europe trip (don’t know how soon in the future). Can’t wait to see more!
