Let’s talk about hair!

I have been growing my hair out for the past year and a half (pretty much since I got engaged) because I figured long hair wouldn’t limit me in how I wanted to have it done on the wedding day. It’s much easier (and cheaper) to chop it off at a later date if you decide to wear your hair short than it is to have to get extensions for a long ‘do. Granted, the road has not been easy. I have gone through many awkward periods where I wanted to have it cut short because I absolutely hated it. Just ask my MOH Bunting, who always talked me out of it like a true friend. But I stuck with it, and now I’m glad I did!

My hair is straight, very fine, and usually very flat. Like Miss Sparkler, I can never get it to hold volume for very long. Unfortunately for me, I am not a professional (or even a very good amateur) hairstylist, so a DIY ‘do is completely out. Fortunately for me, I will be having a professional take charge, and I’m convinced that with the right products, some hair curling, and a lot of hairspray, we’ll be able to get my fine hair at a voluminous level to be able to pull off this:

Me, too! And my hair is just like yours - fine, thin, completely straight and always flat. I am so ready to chop it off and my wedding is a little less than a year away. And I am hoping to pull off something similar to the pictures you posted.

Ohh, I love the last inspiration picture! My hair is super fine as well. Interestingly, as it has grown longer and I’ve switched from washing it every day to every other day, I find that it actually holds volume better. I may actually wind up keeping it long after the big day. We shall see!

I started growing my hair out almost a year before I got engaged! Just another year to go! My stylist has been keeping it neatly trimmed and I always yo yo back and forth between long and short hair. For now I am loving it! I absolutely love the Kelly Zhang hairstyle! I love those flowers… I’m on the lookout for some sort of hair clip like that that doesn’t cost a fortune!

I like the rest of you I decided to grow out my hair for our wedding. After countless hours in the morning trying to get my hair to do sometime besides be very flat and lifeless and lots of conversation with my stylist, I decided that I just can’t deal with all of these bad hair days and chopped it off! It was mid way down my back and I cut it to my collar bone. I am wearing my hair up and my stylist said that i don’t really need all that much hair to do an up do. So, OFF WITH HER HAIR she yelled as she chopped it off.

I’m growing mine too - super thick and voluminous. Its past the cute pixie bob it was in, but not quite at ponytail length. AAARGH! In Texan summer 100 degrees! I’m hoping to have it at my shoulders by November. DIE DIE DIE!
