Mrs. Macarons's Picture
Mrs. Macarons, Tampa Age and Occupation: 26, Graphic Designer Fiance's Age and Occupation: 34, Renaissance Man Engagement Date: September 12, 2009 Wedding Date: September 2011 Venue: Lange Farm About Me: I'm creative at heart and a graphic designer with an unhealthy obsession with type. I love roller coasters, spicy foods, and a good glass of Crianza. We’re planning a soft and lovely vintage-meets-modern wedding in a state that’s known for its beaches, glitz and glam. I have a ton of DIY projects and lots of little details I’m dying to share and can't wait to celebrate with our closest friends and family.
About Mrs. Macarons

Hi, hive! It’s Miss Macarons reporting for duty. I literally can’t tell you how thrilled I am to become a bee! I’ve only retyped this introduction several times because my hands won’t stop shaking. I’ve been a follower of Weddingbee since 2009 and always wanted to apply. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and a procrastinator, but when I finally get an idea/goal in my head, nothing can stop me from trying to reach it. Patience is a virtue I sometimes don’t have, and it was certainly lacking these last few weeks. You can only imagine my excitement and his relief when I told Mr. Macarons about my acceptance.

So who are the Macarons?

I’m a creative at heart and a graphic designer by trade. He’s a Renaissance man and knows a lot about everything. While I buy books for their well-designed covers and layouts, he buys them to read. His idea of camping involves an improvised lean-to, some para-cord, and a knife; mine is more akin to Troop Beverly Hills. I’m a Florida girl, born and raised; he calls Panama City, Panama home after spending most of his life outside the U.S.

Why Miss Macarons?

The choice was obvious. Mr. Macarons and I tried them for the first time during our Bunnymoon (I’ll explain later) and fell in love immediately with the little confections. So much flavor in a crispy yet chewy bite.

{Starting from the top, clockwise: jasmine, caramel & fleur de sel, the mister’s fave—passion fruit & chocolate, rose, olive oil}

{Another olive oil (one of my favorites) and cassis}

They’re one of the greatest achievements ever, IMO; right up there with Nutella, marzipan, and space travel. We can’t get enough of them and frequent a local bakery to the point that they begin packaging up two of each flavor as soon as they see us walk through the door.

Together we’re planning a soft and lovely vintage-meets-modern wedding in a state that’s known for its beaches, glitz, and glam. I have a ton of DIY projects and lots of little details I’m dying to share. Hopefully you’ll learn from my experiences and mistakes along the way, too!

Until then,

Miss Macarons

Welcome. And I love nutella. But in the interest of fitting into my gown in 6 weeks, I’ve had to cut down :(

Welcome Miss Macaron! You had me at Troop Beverly Hills, one of my favorite movies EVER!

@Miss Bunting: Never had one either, the Midwest needs a serious jolt of culture. (or maybe just our towns? ;) )

I remember the first time I ever had a macaron. I was like, “WOW, I need to buy three dozen of these NOW!” That was after I got over my initial confusion (”But…these don’t look like macaroons…”)

Congrats on becoming a new Bee!
