As the end of our wedding day approached, Mr E and I snuck away for a few minutes to take advantage of the summer evening light for a few more photos. And I’m so glad we did, because even though we were worn out after a long day (and my jaw was so sore from smiling!), these moments were priceless, and they resulted in what I think are my very favourite photos of us from the day.
We strolled through the garden and the fountains, then over the bridge that we had been married in front of just a few hours before.
We weren’t completely alone (even though it felt like it at times!). There was our photographer of course, and the groomsmen volunteered to carry our picnic props around the garden…
… They even had an impromptu tea party under the trees! Don’t they look sweet?

Then it was our turn for a little picnic photo shoot. We spread a blanket (crocheted by my great grandmother) on the grass and set out our tea cups and picnic basket.
Our few moments were up all too fast, and soon we headed back to the reception to say goodbye to our guests.
Next up: The getaway!
