In the first of many activities to combat the post-wedding blues, we’re jetting off on a spectacularly spectacular honeymoon, planned solely by The Fiancé. I had a very short list of items I wanted him to include on our honeymoon itinerary: sun, sands, and a drink in my hand with no bottom, (no shoes, no shirt, no problem).

Originally it was going to be a surprise to me, but detail after detail leaked out.

Did you know we are terrible at keeping secrets from each other? I don’t know how he wound up not spilling the beans that he was proposing in Las Vegas. With regards to the honeymoon, over time I wound up knowing every single detail except for what exact resort we were staying at. Finally, I told him to just tell me the name of the resort so I could go ahead and Google it.

Any guesses as to where we are headed?

We’ve taken a lot of trips together and done a lot of completely-packed-itinerary traveling. We’ve traveled to Rome, Venice, Las Vegas, New York City, and countless less well known locations.

This will be the first time I intentionally avoid putting together a detailed daily to-do list of sightseeing. We’re definitely going to need the downtime after the wedding weekend, and I think Jamaica is going to be a perfect place to decompress at the end of this wonderful journey and beginning of our new one together. Tear!
