Mrs. Cardigan's Picture
Mrs. Cardigan, Austin Age and Occupation: 21, Student/Soon-to-be Special Education Teacher Fiance's Age and Occupation: 20, Student/Soon-to-be Accounting Systems Analyst Engagement Date: August 16, 2009 Wedding Date: January 2011 Venue: Vintage Villas About Me: I'm a native Austinite who was raised as a die-hard Aggie. Luckily, I'm a pretty persuasive girl because I managed to convince my high school boyfriend (now fiance!), Mr. Cardigan, to ditch his hardcore Longhorn ways and join me up at A&M, where we currently reside with our adorable dogs, Cullen & Ranger. We're currently planning a bright, cheery wedding with a ridiculous amount of DIY projects that I can't wait to tackle! I love crafting in any form, reading, and margaritas (I think I love them the most!). Organization is what keeps me sane and I love helping others, which is probably why I ended up as an education major. It gets a little chaotic sometimes when you're planning a wedding among all of the papers, projects, finals, and certification exams, but we're having the time of our lives and we can't wait to get started on our journey as husband and wife - and we're so excited to share our wedding with the hive!
About Mrs. Cardigan

After what seemed like minutes (but was actually hours and hours of amazing dancing), it was time for the last dance.

As the strains of Don’t Stop Believing came through the speakers, we all joined together to belt out one last favorite song.

We got almost everyone on the dance floor with this one, even Daddy Cardigan who had never heard the song (WHAT? Yeah, I know, it’s ridiculous). Luckily, he was a good sport about it.

Soon enough, all of our guests had formed somewhat of an impromptu circle, and we all stood around screaming our lungs out and dancing our asses off.

And before we knew it, the song was over and it was time for our exit.

It was such a WONDERFUL wedding!! And that first picture of me & Mr. Socks is what we look like when we sing duets together on a daily basis. We’re intense. We get into it.

hahah love it!

That’s so funny! We used the same song for our last dance and our guests all made a big circle to sing and dance too! I guess it’s just that kind of song :)

This is my favorite song EVER and I’m also planning for it to be our last song!! Mrs. Cardigan, you’ve always been one of my favorite Bees. You obviously don’t know this, but we’re a lot alike. Your wedding was SPECTACULAR. And if mine turns out half this great, it will be a success!
