Hey hive, just dropping in to share what I think is an OMG-so-cool moment. Let me set the scene. It’s a half-past-the-crack-of-dawn this Friday AM and I’m barely awake. I’m churning away on our stationary bike as I do most mornings before work, and flipping through my Google Reader app on my phone. Almost 2 years after our wedding, I still follow our wedding photographer’s blog…and this morning when I reached her lastest post, I was so shocked I nearly stopped peddling.

Eeeep! How freaking cool is that?

What’s even cooler is that—upon closer inspection—I actually think I KNOW the bride. (Well, I *knew* her. I think it’s been 10 or 11 years since we’ve seen each other, but we were in a high school activity together.) I didn’t realize it was her until I looked at the photos up close—those phone screens are a wee bit small for details like recognizing someone you knew as a kid.

I have no idea whether the bride and groom saw our wedding on Weddingbee or anywhere else online—so I am definitely not claiming that our wedding inspired them. I am fully aware that I did not invent courthouse weddings, just as I’m aware that the Hillsboro, ND courthouse is one of the most beautiful in our region. It’s a perfect choice for an ND civil ceremony—like our own little mini San Fran Courthouse! (But if we did inspire them, cool!) Otherwise, I just think it’s a really neat coincidence that they had their wedding at the same venue with the same photographer. Fun! The photographer’s blog post also says they went to dinner after their wedding—again, just like we did. I hope they loved their day as much as we loved ours.

Looking at their pictures reminded me of our own wedding, which is always a happy way to start a day!
