“OMG Shoes” Part II

June 10th, 2011 @ 2:39 pm by Mrs. Macarons

After giving up on green, I thought I’d take a look at another member of our color palette.

First there was Geneviva:

Your color, height, and style were what I had imagined. I called every Steve Madden on the East Coast in hopes of finding you. I even reached out to your bride, Rosanna, to see if she would lend them to me.

Then there was Semel. Oh, how I wanted to love you. You were priced right and your color was almost perfect, but your straps were too much for my beloved dress.

I strayed after Semel and found a sparkly number that almost did me in.

You were a dreamy pale silver and had the height I craved. Your color was much more metallic in person; nevertheless, I brought you home. You waited patiently in my closet for almost a month before we were able to pay a visit to my dress. But my fears came true when you shown a bit too brightly.

Then something a little softer caught my eye:

Oh Randee, how could I not love your fluffy chiffon? Your sexy 4.5-inch heel. You only came in blush, ivory, and gold. I had to move on.

After Randee came Martina, a worthy contender to my darling Geneviva.

You thought quite highly of yourself, so I waited till your price dropped ever so slightly. When you came in the mail I was disappointed by your plastic soles, and your hue that was more pink than purple. You called yourself an eight, but you fit more like a nine. Back you went and along with it my hope of finding a pale purple shoe.

Maybe it was time to take a stroll on the darker side…

What about dyeables? They’re so pretty (like the Nina brand) and you can dye them any color you want

I LOVE the Randee’s. My mom is actually named Randee (with 2 e’s and everything!) so I may be partial…but they are soooo beautiful!

Oh. my. gosh. You found such cute ones! But the last ones you tried on were my least fav :(

I bought my purple Kate Spades on Zappos… the color just captivated me.

There’s a few pairs at Nordstrom that I think you’d like!

What about a white chiffon flower one? There’s some of those out there too :)

I was really digging blue shoes until my FMIL snorted at the idea of colored shoes. I thought about doing it anyways (just to tick her off??) but then I found beautiful while ones on clearance for $25 at DSW! SCORE! 4in heels makes me only 8 inches shorter than my fiance….
