Mrs. Plaid's Picture
Mrs. Plaid, Austin Age and Occupation: 26, Pastry Chef Fiance's Age and Occupation: 34, Cabinetry Carpenter Engagement Date: August 8, 2009 Wedding Date: October 2010 Venue: Kindred Oaks, Georgetown About Me: I am a Jersey girl born and raised but have since migrated to Texas and embraced its twang and Tex-Mex. I could probably eat chips and queso every day but instead I eat popcorn. I use the word “awesome” way too much but I just can’t seem to stop myself. I am addicted to all things DIY and am planning what I call a Texas-Chic wedding. I love snuggling with my two adorable dogs and of course, my adorable fiance. I can’t wait 'til I can call him my husband some day! October 2010, here we come!
About Mrs. Plaid

I’m sorry I haven’t been back in so long (I can’t believe three months have gone by…)—I’ve been busy working on My New Project. But I’m back now and ready to write some recaps!

When we left off, Mr. P and I had just walked up the aisle after the official husband and wife announcement.

After we made our way up the aisle we were definitely ready to get our celebration on. And what does a girl need to kick off an epic celebration? Party shoes, of course. I, like Mrs. Cardigan, traded in my gorgeous heels for a pair of wonderfully comfy Converses. And I couldn’t resist taking them for a spin. :)

Texas Twosome: Getting Comfortable with the Idea of Marriage : wedding austin pictures pro pics recap Z22097001 I mentioned in a previous post that I was going to gift my girls with their own comfortable party shoes so they could be just as comfy as I’d be all night long.

We opted to take the ever popular jumping picture. Of course, only after we were schooled on the proper way to jump by my wonderful photographer.

I know these jumping photos are overdone, but this is one of my favorite photos of the whole day. We were all having so much fun and we were finally ready to get our party on. Up next, we “walk this way” into the reception and kick it off with our first dance!
