Mrs. High Wire, Dallas Age and Occupation: 23, Legal Assistant Fiance's Age and Occupation: 25, Director of Communications Engagement Date: October 9, 2010 Wedding Date: September 2011 Venue: Clark Gardens About Me: My loves include yoga, anything spicy, our eccentric cat, our rambunctious dog, and Mr. High Wire, of course! Like the steadiness act of the tightrope walker, this gal is busy balancing life while planning a wedding to the man of her dreams. We’re hosting a laid-back, vintage-inspired, bird themed wedding with heavy doses of love, good eats (did someone say tacos and margaritas?), and endless Texas charm. Mr. High Wire and I are so happy to have you along for the walk across the tight rope.
About Mrs. High Wire

When my MOH asked me what I would be interested in doing for my “last night as a single gal,” I tried to keep in mind what I would like to do if it really were my last night with my girlfriends. She has taken the reins and planned a night that I am so so so so so looking forward to. I can’t wait to recap it for you!

Here’s a little sneak peek at what we are doing:

Oh yeah. Check out that intensity!

But, before we get into all the details of what we are going to be doing, I want to share a few things I was pretty adamant about NOT wanting:

A sugary, stomachache-y, migraine-y hangover lasting more than 12 hours:

Phallic decor or apparel:What I Didn’t Want for My Bachelorette Party : wedding bachelorette party dallas Bachelo Bachelo

Putting my friends in debt:

Did you have any say in your bachelorette party?

Love this! I also did not want those things.
My bachelorette party was also at a bring your own wine/food and paint place.

I absolutely loved it. It was perfect, and most importantly, no strippers were harmed in my last night being a single lady.

Do you know what you are going to paint yet? You totally have to post up your finished product when you are done. I am semi addicted sips and strokes. (In fact, I am going tonight)

No say in mine, but my sister and husband planned it. There was embarrassment, but it was all approved by my FI. The worst was getting a foot rub from a random guy because I have stinky feet.

OMG, that last picture is terrible!!! Although I definitely want a sugar hangover at my bach - I don’t know if I could ever eat too much cake. HA! :)

I want to do the drinking, but without the hangover. And, I know my girls are going to go overboard with the phallic stuff and I’m going to be so embarrassed. I will admit that I do want to wear a tiara or little veil or something. And that last picture- yeah, I would be totally fine with that never happening to me ever. Especially preserved forever on the internet. (I know it’s all in fun, but jeez!)

My bachelorette party planning has been a nightmare! My super planner type A FSIL planned an overnight trip to some wineries, but cut the guest list that I gave her to just bridesmaids, the 2 moms and my 3 aunts. People are getting offended that they weren’t invited but I had originally intended to invite everyone! If I could do it again, I would plan my bachelorette party to the last detail and not just give some clues at to what I wanted. :(

Lol…we are going to Vegas and the girls are all wearing black dresses and I’m wearing a white one! It may be cheesy but who cares…the girls are just as excited as I am!! :)

We are doing a cooking class and then hitting up some SF nightlife. I am all for a booze-filled night as long as someone remembers to give me water between every drink. Oh and no strippers please, I would just die.

Oh man, I need to add penis paraphernalia to the list of things I don’t want. Thanks for reminding me!

Currently the list of no-gos has just 2 items - strippers and spa facials (bach party is just 1 week before the wedding and I don’t want to break out).
