Speaking of which, he and I are a pair of goofball homebody nerds who love our beagle (the most ridiculously adorable dog EVER) to an embarrassing degree. About Ms. Sloth

Before we could have a wedding, we needed to have a wedding rehearsal. Bartram’s Garden is only open during the day on weekdays, so we had to rehearse during the day. So, there was no rehearsal dinner, just a rehearsal lunch. I ordered sandwiches, chips, salads, desserts and drinks from an awesome cafe, and we chowed down at the pavilion at Bartram’s.

We gave our attendants their gifts…

And as we were getting ready to rehearse, we were joined by some critter friends. The Bartram’s Garden wild turkey:

And whatever this is:

While the non-wedding party members of the family sat down and watched…

The rest of us rehearsed in the garden.

And then, since the forecast for the following day called for rain, we decided to do a practice run in Bartram’s barn, just in case. Judging from the title of my recaps, I’m sure you won’t be surprised to learn that this practice run was a very good idea.

And I made some crazy eyes:

We were all rehearsed out. But the day’s festivities weren’t over yet.

How did we get here?

That, my lovely lady, was an otter, and an adorable one at that. I love otters, so lucky you. Everything looked great!! Congrats!! I’m the one that lives right down the street from Bartram’s Garden, so I’m so glad that everything went so well and that even though you had to go inside, you still had a beautiful ceremony!

Looks like a little groundhog to me. Unless he’s coming up from the water…can’t tell from the photo. Anyway, whatever he is, he sure is cute! Must have been a fun afternoon if woodland creatures were coming to watch the rehearsal!!

Yay critters!

Did you eat before you rehearsed? We are likely going to have to do that and I’m curious what you thought of that set up.
