So now that the ladies have their dresses, I’ve started to think about what I want to get them as my thank you for being such great bridesmaids.

I knew that there would be beautiful tissue paper and some great font on a tag…but I didn’t know much else…

Thank goodness for the internet! With a keyboard and trusty mouse in hand, I found some great things to gift the girlies with.

With their gray and white striped sweaters to get me started, I started editing my ideas and thinking about something that the bridesmaids might wear on our big day. While I am normally not that practical of a gal (heck, I spent how many hours upon hours cutting tiny tiny triangles for our STDs?!), I wanted something that they’d use again.

I originally wanted to make everyone robes similar to Plum Pretty Sugar’s gorgeous dreamy ones. But time was ticking and I knew that I could be getting in a little over my head with a wedding to-do list the size of two of my arms!

But purses—little bags—could be doable! I sought out Keyka Lou’s adorable accessories patterns, and the pattern for her pocket clutch was in my inbox in a moment’s time.

Especially if I use the fabric that I am using to create the guys’ ties!

I am planning on sewing a little message or quote inside, personalized to each bridesmaid.

Now I wanted to get them something else. Something to accompany the sweaters and purses.

I decided to start to research lockets. Just the idea of a locket reminds me of something timeless, romantic, and thoughtful. It is heartfelt and is a piece you treasure. You give a locket to someone you love. A grownup version of a friendship necklace (which I have exchanged many of with Cousin Sweet Cream!).

It was hard but I finally decided to get my girls each this necklace with their intial on it. So glad I did because they absolutely love it. It’s simple and it goes with everything.

I can’t wait to see how the purses turn out. I wish I was more talented with a sewing machine. Love the fabric, and love that the purses are going to match the guys ties.

I got my girls jewelry for the day that is SO cute! I also got them a little pedicure set and sleeping mask. I’m getting them each some sort of hair flower for the wedding. I’m also in the midst of trying to buy them clutches to use

I got each of my girls a Vera Wang crystal vase - and my MOH’s vase has an engraved message on the bottom. I wanted to get them something they’d use forever and that wasn’t necessarily wedding related; I saw the idea of a vase from another bee and loved it! I also am not fussed about accessories for the girls and don’t really care what, if any, accessories they wear/carry, so I knew that wasn’t going to be a gift option for me. The vase was the perfect alternative.
