Now Mr. Lox and I enjoy walking all kinds of places, having the coolest things around in our backyard, and especially our garage parking. I love gadgets, toys, Ben & Jerry’s Chubby Hubby ice cream, monkeys, and our insane cats. I’m a blonde by birth and a redhead by choice. I’m that girl in the cubicle farm with all the cool toys and the file cabinet covered in magnetic poetry. I still use smiley faces in my emails, whether people like it or not. This is not the first rodeo for Mr. Lox nor me. And together, we are planning an intimate afternoon wedding on a budget we can afford by ourselves.

Mooning with my Honey – Part 2

June 21st, 2011 @ 12:17 pm by Mrs. Lox

So, aside from relaxing, we did actually do some cool stuff on our honeymoon. I mean, we were in Costa Rica after all!

Our second day there we went on a hiking and ziplining tour. When we showed up for the early tour there was only one other couple going with us… our friends from the resort! (Psssst! Hi there guys!) Instead of telling you about it, let me just show you.

Loxes all geared up and ready to go!

Not Mrs. Sloth, but definitely a sloth!

Okay okay, so I shouldn’t have rotated the camera at the end there. But otherwise, how awesome is that!

Look, it’s Weddingbee in a tree! Or part of the hive at least. ;)

In the coming days we hiked around waterfalls.

Walked on beaches…

Listened to monkeys (those are seriously monkeys, not dogs. Howler monkeys!)…

Went horseback riding…

And ate fantastic food.

But eventually, it was time to come home, and even the jungle was sad to see us go…

Yeah, that sound is pouring rain. It didn’t do that much on our honeymoon but the day we left that’s what we woke up to. But, we got home safe and sound so that I could make it here to tell you all about our wedding! And I promise, that bit is next. ;)

So, this turned out to be our favorite vacation so far. What is your favorite vacation?

I went to Costa Rica too, and I think that was my favorite. Such nice people, good food, fun things to do. What beach were you at? It’s gorgeous. We went to Santa Teresa for our beach portion and I was blown away. Your pictures are gorgeous, looks like you had a ball, and I wish I was back in CR already :) Pura vida!

Looks like a great honeymoon Lox! I don’t know what Mr. Lox is holding in that last photo, but I want to eat it!

This looks like such a cool honeymoon! I think my favorite trip was to San Diego. We had a lot of fun and we got to take Cherry Bomb to the ocean for the first time. I’d really like to go somewhere tropical sometime, though.

This looks like so much fun! But I have to ask…was it weird at first staying in the rooms with the frosted glass walls? Is there lots of privacy still?

@Ms. Dove: That picture was taken at Marina Ballena… the whale’s tail beach. I never did get a good picture of the whale’s tail, but I love the weird sand dollars in that picture so I went with it. ;)

@ldybug850: What you can’t tell from the pictures is that there are curtains on the inside of the villa that you can draw for complete privacy. They do all the way around the glass walls so you can have total privacy whenever you want it. There was also a lot of plant life between the huts, but we still drew the curtains for privacy when we felt it was necessary.
