Mrs. Plaid, Austin Age and Occupation: 26, Pastry Chef Fiance's Age and Occupation: 34, Cabinetry Carpenter Engagement Date: August 8, 2009 Wedding Date: October 2010 Venue: Kindred Oaks, Georgetown About Me: I am a Jersey girl born and raised but have since migrated to Texas and embraced its twang and Tex-Mex. I could probably eat chips and queso every day but instead I eat popcorn. I use the word “awesome” way too much but I just can’t seem to stop myself. I am addicted to all things DIY and am planning what I call a Texas-Chic wedding. I love snuggling with my two adorable dogs and of course, my adorable fiance. I can’t wait 'til I can call him my husband some day! October 2010, here we come!
About Mrs. Plaid

I told Mr. P from the beginning that once the dance music started I wasn’t leaving the dance floor. I kept to my word, except for a couple quick trips to the bar to grab another beer. It wasn’t a huge dance party by any means, but I had a blast and those that stayed out there with me were awesome. And my mom and step dad danced to every single song. They were freakin’ all-stars! Mr. P even made it out there more than I expected!

I believe this a very passionate singing of “Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks.

It was freakin’ hot. I mean it was hot already, but then dancing around outside in a long dress did not help so I took to holding my dress up in a very ladylike manor. :)

I think I must be doing a hoe-down in this picture. I don’t know. Actually I think I might have been doing the running man. Who knows?

The dancing was everything I’d imagined it would be. I had some much fun, I only wish it had last a few more hours. Up next, photo booth fun!

Aww! Looks like a great night of dancing, even if it was hot as blazes! The music and mood must have been right for people to dance on! I love “People in Low Places,” too! Great Country song :)

I didn’t stop dancing all night either - if guests wanted to talk to me they had to join me on the floor and I had the best time!!

I had the same mentality - outside of refills the only place I was to be found was on the dance floor. I figured, being the only one in the huge white dress, if someone wanted me they could easily find me there :) Looks like y’all had a blast - can’t wait to see the photobooth pics!

all of your recaps make me nostalgic for my initial plan of getting a dress with a colored sash. Sigh.
