Pistol was the last bridesmaid standing, so we planned to harass encourage her to try on every dress we could find until we found “the one.” Honestly? It didn’t take long. We decided to go back to David’s since I had such success with the other women the week before. It was a Sunday afternoon when we finally got around to going, and the store was pretty dead. We wandered around picking up every short dress in the store and took them to the dressing room. I asked the consultant to take any of the dresses that weren’t available in orange, and we were left with nothing but potential.

She started trying them on, and we made some mental notes on our favorites. After she tried on everything, we whittled it down to our top three and made her try them on again. The finalists?

Which would you pick? My mom was in love with Dress 1, but ultimately the group consensus was Dress 3. It’s a little sexy, but still appropriate, and it looks young and fun. Pistol is talking about wearing it for homecoming, too, so it might be the elusive bridal dress that actually gets worn again! It’s also different from all the other girls’s dresses. We ended up with five different dresses:

So we have two in cotton sateen, two in satin, and one in chiffon. I think it’s going to be awesome because each girl will look amazing and be confident in a dress that flatters her body. I can’t wait to see how they all look together—they’re going to make one beautiful rainbow!
