It was time for our first look, but the rain had started to come down pretty hard. We could’ve done an indoor first look, but our hotel, while clean and very nice, wasn’t that photogenic. Luckily for us, our photographers found a cute outdoor spot right behind the hotel, and it wasn’t too rough to go right around the corner in the rain.
Armed with the photographer’s umbrella, I went around the corner, where Mr. S was waiting, umbrella-less (he never, ever uses an umbrella).
And then he turned around, looking all cute and stuff.
And then we made out for a little bit.
And then we booked it around to the front of the hotel, where the bus was waiting to take us to Bartram’s Garden.

The bus! Fun fact: this was my sister’s fiancé’s first time ever on a school bus. They don’t have them in the Netherlands.
We were on our way to our wedding venue!

I love your first look photos! They’re so sweet and genuine. Oh, and I never use an umbrella either, I can never get them to open correctly and I get frustrated and give up.
Aww so cute! I also really like the umbrella! Can I give you a suggestion? In your pictures #2 & #3 above, there is a red car in the background; you should ask your photog to edit it out! We had a car in the background of ours and we asked our photog to take it out and he did! It looks so much better
