I’m not exactly the superstitious type, but when it comes to the wedding I want nothing but good juju coming our way.

I started collecting my “somethings” early on, the first of which was a silver sixpence. I originally wanted to get one of the year my parents married, but as Mrs. Husky pointed out, after 1947 they no longer contained silver. Instead I opted for 1946, the year my grandparents married.

I knew my old would be my handkerchief bonnet, but I was stumped when it came to my borrowed and blue. Enter Mom to the rescue with the greatest borrowed ever.

Look familiar? My grandfather gave them to my grandmother on their wedding day, almost 65 years ago. I can’t tell you how excited I am to wear such a precious heirloom.
Are you taking part in the something tradition? What’s your favorite something?
