Hi Hive! It’s Lorienne, your friendly Hive moderator here!

As many of you know, eHarmony has been Weddingbee’s home for the past few years.

A few months ago, we began refocusing our efforts and resources on helping people all over the world get into great long-term relationships. Part of that re-focusing effort also meant looking for a new home for Weddingbee, ProjectWedding and JustMommies. It was extremely important that we matched Weddingbee with a team that would love Weddingbee as much as we and you do, and who would take great care of this wonderful Community.

We are pleased to introduce you all to Internet Brands, Weddingbee’s new owner. Internet Brands is a fantastic, community-centric company (so much so that they purchased vBulletin a few years back, which many of you know is a very widely used bulletin board system. We are confident that they will love, honor and cherish the Hive as much as we do!

What does this mean for the hive?

We actually don’t anticipate that much will change for you at all. Mrs. D.G. will continue to be the Community Coordinator and Cathy (Mrs. Penguin) will continue as Editor in Chief. While I won’t be working on the site any longer L, I will however be dating in earnest in the hopes that I can someday join you all as a bride-to-be!

On a personal note (and I think I speak for everyone at eHarmony who’s been involved with Weddingbee) it’s been an honor and a delight to be a witness to the incredible devotion, creativity, generosity, friendship and just overall fabulousness that you embody, and it has been SO much fun watching your beautiful weddings come together. Thank you so much for letting us be a part of it – we will miss you!

Hi all! Mrs. Penguin here!

It’s bittersweet to part ways with eHarmony, who’s been so supportive of us editorially. I’m sad to part ways with Lori, Mr. Bowtie, and HelloKitty2, all of whom you’ve interacted with, but also all the other great team members that worked hard silently behind the scenes supporting us whom some of you have never met including Rebecca, Jeannie, Jim, Rachel, and Jade.

I was introduced this week to our new team this week and am really excited to move forward and continue to grow the site to bring features that the hive has been craving. It’s always a little nerve wracking to go through ANY sort of change, but I’m really excited that we’re in the hands of great partners that have a ton of experience in internet communities. We have a lot of features and improvements that we’ve been looking forward to implementing, and look forward to have additional resources to get it all going! Hi Weddingbee!

My name is TaliaRose. I work with the company Internet Brands. We are located in sunny and warm El Segundo, California, overlooking LAX (Los Angeles Airport) and more importantly, the Pacific Ocean! I am excited to get to know all of you and to help out as needed.

I realize that parting ways with eHarmony is a shock for many of you. While I am super optimistic about this transition, I understand how some of you might be confused or concerned about what it means for you. Weddingbee is the place you’ve trusted with your personal experiences – the friends and bonds you’ve made here are something you value highly.

Don’t tell my boss, but, I’ve spent the better half of this week looking through all your gorgeous wedding photos and reading your stories. I have to say I am very excited to be a part of the team here because I can see how much love you put into this website.

My main role is to provide support for Cathy/Mrs. Penguin (who will remain the Editor in Chief, of course!), Vicki/Mrs. DG, and Holley/Mrs. Mouse, as well as to all of you as a moderator here in the Weddingbee community.

As Mrs. Penguin mentioned, we now have the benefit of a team of people at Internet Brands that will assist us if there are technical issues on the website, or, if we want to launch new features (fun!). I will help out as much as I can in this process, and champion your ideas, wants, and needs.

So… a little bit about me. I have a background in website management, everything from the technology to the content. Along with being a major web geek, I am also obsessed with art, food (duh!), and the environment. I love jewelry making and painting. I have to say… I’m not very good at any of it, but it’s the journey that counts, right?! When I’m not glued to my computer screen, I spend a lot of time outdoors biking, hiking, and gardening.
