About Mrs. Lioness

The Next Morning

July 12th, 2011 @ 12:06 pm by Mrs. Lioness

This post could also be titled “Reason #5782 why Sister Lioness was an awesome MOH.”

Mr. Lion and I spent our wedding night at the Ritz Carlton in Buckhead.

Everything was lovely, and we woke up to breakfast in bed!

The best part of the morning, though, was when we went back to our apartment to pick up Lion Corgi before we headed to Asheville. I expected to walk in and find a post-wedding disaster. Instead, I found that Sister Lioness had orchestrated a mad cleaning session post-wedding. She and the rest of my family brought back every little piece of decor (Well, except for the stuff that couldn’t fit in her trunk, but that was okay because our venue said they’d hang onto it! Oh wait…), organized all of the wedding stuff, and cleaned our entire apartment. When Mr. Lion and I walked in the next morning, we found this:

We also found Lion Corgi snuggled up with Lioness Bmaid Sara’s dog.

We hung out with Sister Lioness for a bit before we hit the road. We also took this downtime as an opportunity to open all of our cards.

How awesome is that lion card?! Some of my friends know me too well…

We bid Sister Lioness and our surprisingly clean apartment adieu, then set off for North Carolina. Sister Lioness set off to do some after-partying, which looked something like this:

Asheville is my hometown as well as the second greatest place on earth (behind Disney World). Did you honeymoon there?

Wedding fairies do exist! Every gal needs a Sister Lioness and family to sprinkle a little wedding dust at the newlywed casa.

Thanks everyone! I knew Mrs. Lioness would freak if she came home to the mess we had left her Saturday night! Plus I had all this post-wedding nervous energy from running around like a crazy person for three days straight :)
