100 Days Out

Wow… 100 days, folks. Mile marker for the Funnel Cakes!

For the most part, we’ve got all the biggies covered, but there is that small business of catering to get in order and some odds and ends like groom accessories, hair and makeup, and well maybe it’d be a good idea to think about what goes on during our ceremony too… but c’mon, it’s a Catholic mass, not too much to plan there, right?

With a 17-month engagement, we’ve had the luxury to take our time planning and splurge or change our minds about things. But with the 100 day mark passing, I admit I feel the pressure is on. Little twitches of anxiety are starting to bristle my hairs and I can tell I’m going to get more stressed as the next three months slip by.

At this point, I know that I need to really focus on which projects I want to make a reality in the next three months. Cake toppers? Reception DIY? With production times and shipping from Switzerland to the States, I know that time is my friend and after this point… I’ll be running out of my friend. It’s time to buckle down and begin gathering my loose ends!

How were you feeling when you passed into the double digits of planning?

I’m about to hit this point… also nervous about it, even though I’m pretty on top of things! I find it helps to just have a To-Do list of everything you want to get done, and make deadlines for everything. I am planning to get everything done weeks before the wedding, so I can just chill out. But right now = anxiety :)

I feel like after the 100 day mark it has just started flying by! There are so many appointments and events now that every weekend seems to be here and gone before I know it, almost at 50 days now!

Congrats on reaching the big 100-mark countdown, Miss FC! I remember when Mr. Parasol and I hit that mark–I kind of wish we could go back if only because that would mean I have more time!

I’m almost there, too!!! I checked into a website yesterday (I think… or Tuesday) and it told me there were 109 days left! Which means that next Friday, we’ll be in the DOUBLE DIGITS. OMG. OMG.

We are early in Oct. so we hit this mark a couple of weeks ago. I had to remember to breathe too! It really creeps up on you and now I feel like the days are ticking by at an alarming rate!
