About Miss Honey

How Two Became Six

July 20th, 2011 @ 11:25 am by Mrs. Honey

Alternative title: The Honey Furbabies.

Our first night together was in January. Our first getaway was Valentine’s weekend. He said “I love you” that following Monday morning. By the end of February we decided we wanted to live together, and in the beginning of March we moved into our home. Ya, in case you aren’t counting, that’s less than three months from our first night together.

In addition to combining our lives, we would be combining the lives of our current pets:

I think it was fate that we were to be together because, duh, our pets are the exact same color. Nothing says soul mates like matching pets, right?

So two pets, two people in a new home. A lot of changes, but we and our pets were adjusting to our new lives perfectly, when we decided to up it once more and round out our family with these additions:

Hive, I’m not exaggerating when I say that we adore our animals. They make us smile and are at the center of our lives, so it was only appropriate they had a post all their own. There is no doubt that we will be incorporating them into our big day. We learned to be less selfish and also to rely on each other for taking care of our mini-family very early in our relationship.

Did anyone else take huge relationship steps in a short amount of time? And, where my animal lovers at?!

I’m an animal lover. Our pets couldnt be with us during our wedding but all of our table numbers were pictures of our pets. We have a dog and two cats and are pretty much obsessed with them. And we are always considering getting more!

Kitty!!!!! I love kitties and dogs. :) I had a bunny, too, but he passed away not too long ago :( I miss my Kam.
We adore our pets and one requirement for a new place is to have a fenced in yard for the pets. When I get a kitty, it’s so not stepping outside the house! LOL!

My now fiance (17 days til the wedding!!!) and I jumped in feet first to. About a week after we were officially dating, he told me he knew I was “the one.” A week after that, he started planning a trip to China so I could meet his dad. We’ll get married about 3 weeks before our 1 year dating anniversary.
Hey, when you know, you know!

Adorable fur babies! I can’t wait to get our kitty Tigerlily some “siblings” when we move out of our apartment and into a house. The future Mr. Toralina and I also moved in together quickly and 6 years later we are still loving life together!

I met my fiance on a Friday night at a bar. On Saturday afternoon, I was heading with him to Vermont for the weekend. A complete stranger. We were practically inseparable from the moment we met. We’ll be married in October. In December we’ll be together for 7 years.

Zeus was the god of sky and thunder, so your pet names match too. I think that says soul mates even more than their coloring!

Doooooon’t worry! It definitely happens!! My fiance and I are getting married on Saturday (7.23.11). AAHHHHH Crazy I know!!! We will also be 3 weeks shy of our 1 year anniversary together. We met on the Saturday after my birthday (7.22.10) and are getting married exactly 1 yr to the date that we met. We have been living together since the very beginning. We just knew and I could not be happier! I am so excited to be the new Mrs. Casey Smith! :)

@PitBulLover: we might have a problem if we move to a bigger space, because Mr. H always talks about more!
@Ryna: our kitties don’t go outside unless we are with them (yes we are obsessive)!
@Mrs. Hippo: I love that our dogs are ‘cousins’, we looked very seriously at a GSP one time :)

Loving all the ‘knew right away’ stories, bees!!

Awwwww furbabies!!! We are unabashed animal lovers. I keep trying to include our pup in my WB photos but she’s camera shy - like, legitimately. I’m hoping to sneak some while pretending to take pictures of my DIY projects ;) Yours are adorable, I stand by that!

Zeus is quite possibly the best name ever for a dog. I’ve always adored animals, but Mr. Tartlet was indifferent until we adopted our first kitty together. :)

Oh we love our pets! We have two kitties, a frog, and a sugar glider and we had a chinchilla but he passed away last summer - We miss you Godzilla!! (gold fish too but didn’t survive the power outage last winter)

After Mr. D and I met, we spoke on the phone almost every day for the next month but couldn’t hook up because of our schedules. Then I mentioned to him that I was moving and he offered to help me move…he never left! hahaha Two weeks short of nineteen years together now and 380 days out from our wedding day!

awww furbabies! I brought my Calico Elmo into the marriage and we adopted McKenzie (our little fluffy “Mac Attack”) a short 2 months before the wedding. They are our children and we love them as such :) They are so, incredibly, ridiculously, spoiled.

I hear ya! My FI and started dating May 1, took our first away trip together AND said ‘I love you’ on Memorial Day weekend, and moved in together in August, just 3 short months after we started dating. We were engaged before our 2 year anniversary and will be married right after our 3 year.

And how did I *really* know he loved me? He moved in with me and my kittehs despite being allergic! :)

BTW - Teeny Duke and Macie are too precious!!
