Did you ever see the shoes we picked for the bridesmaids? Aren’t they darling? I was so excited to see their outfits come together! We were finally getting ready for the big day! Hair. Makeup. Outfits. All a girl’s favorite things!

We started on my hair and took a few photos with my bridesmaids, but it was time to get down to business! Despite the fact that we started around 8 in the morning, it was already 11 and I didn’t have a lick of makeup on and my hair wasn’t the way I wanted it. Mind you, the first look was scheduled for 12:30. Ah! Ladies, please make sure you give yourself ample time to get ready the morning of your wedding!
When we left off, I told you everyone surrounded me asking what I didn’t like about my hair, but I was having a really hard time articulating my issues with it. My mom, who has been a hairdresser for more than 30 years didn’t want to step on my stylist’s toes, but kept mouthing to me (discretely), “Do you want me to step in?” I didn’t know what to say, but I knew I wanted more volume!
Next thing you know, my makeup artist urged me to move into her chair to get started. Even though I was worried my hair wasn’t right, I felt compelled to oblige! I wasn’t going anywhere without makeup! I sat in her chair and she tried to calm me down. The stress of our timeline started to hit me.
Meanwhile, my mom’s sister (also a hair dresser of 30 years) grabbed a curling iron from her car (only hairdressers have hot irons in their car, right?), and my mom got to work on my hair, giving me more volume and curl.
Note: If you are on a tight timeline the morning of your wedding and do not have a lot of time for getting ready, I highly recommend having two people working simultaneously on your hair and makeup. It saved us so much time, and I felt like a super model!
I finally started to feel like my overall look was coming together and the stress subsided!
I definitely saw a difference in my hair, too!
Hello curlicues!
In meantime, my little sister was getting the supermodel treatment, too and loving every minute. Isn’t it something how little girls adore makeup!
My other little sister was peering out the window of our suite. The view was so beautiful.
Remember the tiara we bought and gave her at the rehearsal dinner? She loved it!
I love this next photo because I look calm and blissful.
Even if it was just for a moment.
My bridesmaids were ready, and looking great…

And it was time to rock and roll!
My beautiful bridal suite was awaiting.
Did you experience any stress the morning of your wedding?
What did you do to avert the crisis?
