I decided that making you all wait much longer would be very, very mean of me. I’m not a mean person, so I’m back to give you a rundown of our Dance Madness. Okay so I’m a little mean, because I’m only going to give you a run-down to the final round. Please don’t hate me too much?

Anyways, Mr. D was thrilled by this idea, he threw himself into his research. There would be times that I would call him and he would try to rush me off the phone because he was in the middle of a youtube-a-thon and could not be disturbed. He was determined to find a song that was perfect for us (and he also wanted to beat me at something for once). So after we had our seeds picked and bracket laid out, it was time to start the process.

ROUND ONE:

As you can see by all of the pink, I won the majority of this round. Mr. D conceded that I am an excellent song picker. Though I must say that I was pretty impressed with his choices. Some of them were exactly what I pictured him picking, but some were not. One general theme with his though, was that they were all rock. I was feeling pretty smug that I was going to be the one to find “our” song after all. And then we moved on to round two.

ROUND TWO:

Three of his songs made it through, only one of mine did. And it wasn’t even my first seed. Mr. D is a smooth talker, I’m still not even sure how he talked his way into getting me to put aside my first seed for a fourth seed, but he did. In fact, I’m not even sure how he talked his way into three of his songs making it through. Hrmph. However, I will admit that the songs that made it through really represented us the best. I was going to be really disappointed however, if Mr. D got both of the final spots.

ROUND THREE:

I was not disappointed. It was down between his first seed and my underdog fourth seed. I was ready to fight for that song. Mr. D let me know that he had something up his sleeve. I knew that this would be the one that we could not let friends vote on, in the end, this round took the longest—almost a week. But I will tell you this, we reached the absolute best decision for us. It really is “our” song.
