Etsy Jewelry Arrives!

July 27th, 2011 @ 4:39 pm by Mrs. Funnel Cake

Woo hoo. Bees, my jewelry order has come in and I am so darn excited about it!

Etsy Jewelry Arrives! : wedding columbus jewelry Mk2n9541 MK2N954

The jewelry arrived in a sweet little box from Lulu Splendor and I was itching to try it on as soon as I got home from work. But first, let’s take a minute to really soak in the sparkly details.

Mmm, sparkle, sparkle and more sparkle. I think my glitz lust is thoroughly satisfied!

I mentioned earlier how I bought two earrings and two necklaces so that I can decide about jewelry when I’m reunited with my dress in October. I’m hoping I can rock the long dangly earrings all day long, but the simple pearls are a strong contender. Here are the combinations I can choose from:

A bare neck could really show off my glittery dress, which is just a white shirt in this picture, so you have to use your imagination.

Then there is the matching necklace to my long dangly earrings. It is a very pretty necklace, but it’s also a bit tricky to get the flowers to lay correctly and if I wear it day-of I might be fidgeting with it all day to make it lay correctly.

Or the simple pearls with the secret back accent. (Picture below) Might help draw attention to my lovely corset in the back.

And because I love a good comparison, here are the pictures from the Etsy site and how they look in reality:

Mr. Funnel Cake suggested that the back accent necklace could also be doubled as a front necklace, but I’m not so sure.

The back accent isn’t that visible when the veil is on.

Close up of my earrings, including the extra stud for the extra hole I have on one ear.

I have to say, all of Carla’s work is pretty true to what you see on Etsy. If you have any doubts, just go for it! You won’t be disappointed.

What’s your favourite combination from my options? Did you choose to keep your own jewelry simple or did you go all out?

Pretty! I like the pearl earring/pearl necklace combo best with your dress, but any of them would be gorgeous!

Love these!! I think you will have to be reunited with your dress to make the final determination, but I love the dangly earrings/bare neck look. They are all beautiful, though!

I went with just earrings since I had a very sparkly neckline, but I did wear a sparkly headband. :)

I love the pear earring combo with the fancy front-piece necklace. Those back-accent necklaces are gorgeous. I wore one once, but as soon as I would start moving around, it started to pull the necklace up my neck in front, and then in the pictures I have this weird choker look, and an accent piece hanging way too far down my back. I was fighting with it all day. People kept coming over to let me know that it was looking wonky—and those were the ones who understood that it wasn’t on backwards. What a pain!

I want you to know that your lusting totally led to my buying. I’m thrilled! I like the pearls with the side glitz and the pearl drops best.

Gah, so many pretties to choose from! I think I like the chandelier earrings paired with the party-in-the-back pearl necklace the best, but you really can’t go wrong with any of these. :)

I’m biased since I wore the exact same chandeliers - but I would either go dangly earrings/simple/no necklace - OR the gorgeous pearl ones with the back feature. Not many people can pull off those kinds of necklaces (my giant head included) and it is beautiful!

If I were you….I would take the backdrop off the second necklace, and attach it to the back of the fist necklace (the one with the rhinestones on it!!). That way you get the best of both necklaces!! :D

As for earrings, I’m totally on the fence! Either would look incredible. Gorgeous stuff!!

I vote for the big sparkly earrings, no necklace. And sorry Mr. FC, but I don’t think the necklace works backwards!

I love the idea of a back accent, but the necklace with the flower on the side is absolutely stunning!!

I personally love the chandelier earrings and bare neck. The scale of the pearls just seems off to me, in comparison with the earrings and your features.

I love the pearl necklace with the flowers off the side of your neck with the simple pearl earrings. All of them are lovely though! Can’t wait to see them with your dress!!!!

I like the simple pearl earrings with the asymmetrical flower necklace best.
(And I think Mr FC likes the back-necklace-in-the-front because it is all ‘Ah, hello cleavage!’ ;)

I went super-simple with my accessories - pearl studs and a simple pearl bracelet. But then, I rarely even remember that I have pierced ears, so I felt dressy.
