You don’t really realize how much a part of your life Weddingbee becomes until you throw around terms like “post wedding chop” and realize that people don’t know what you’re talking about.
But you all do.

So…the last time I cut my hair was in 2007.

I loved this haircut but it was tough to keep it this length, it required too many visits to the salon. After a while, I decided that long hair was the way to go. So I began to grow it.. and grow it.. and grow it.

Somewhere in there, I got engaged and I was even more determined to keep it long for the wedding day. But hair began taking over my life- I was finding strands of hair everywhere and it drove me insane. Straight ironing my hair before stepping out of the house became an unbearably huge task. I couldn’t WAIT until the day I could finally get rid of it. Fast forward to the day after our banquet:

CHOP!
It took a bit of back and forth trying to decide if I wanted to go that short again but in the end I thought this would be a bit easier to keep up. It’s not quite as obvious when it’s time for a trim!
Now that it’s been a month though, I’m starting to consider going even shorter. Do you have a post wedding chop in mind? Share your favorite short styles!
