PWC!

August 1st, 2011 @ 1:40 pm by Mrs. Crepe

You don’t really realize how much a part of your life Weddingbee becomes until you throw around terms like “post wedding chop” and realize that people don’t know what you’re talking about.

But you all do.

So…the last time I cut my hair was in 2007.

I loved this haircut but it was tough to keep it this length, it required too many visits to the salon. After a while, I decided that long hair was the way to go. So I began to grow it.. and grow it.. and grow it.

Somewhere in there, I got engaged and I was even more determined to keep it long for the wedding day. But hair began taking over my life- I was finding strands of hair everywhere and it drove me insane. Straight ironing my hair before stepping out of the house became an unbearably huge task. I couldn’t WAIT until the day I could finally get rid of it. Fast forward to the day after our banquet:

CHOP!

It took a bit of back and forth trying to decide if I wanted to go that short again but in the end I thought this would be a bit easier to keep up. It’s not quite as obvious when it’s time for a trim!

Now that it’s been a month though, I’m starting to consider going even shorter. Do you have a post wedding chop in mind? Share your favorite short styles!

Aw, your 2007 cut is SO cute! I can’t wait to chop off my hair again - I cut it super short when FI and I started dating, and have been growing it out ever since. But like you said, it’s a huge pain.

It looks so cute! I’ve been trimming mine shorter and shorter since the wedding too. I wish I were brave enough to get mine chopped super short!

Oooh, good timing for me! I’m in the process of contemplating a PWC. My hair is way too long. I had a pixie cut 10 years ago, and I’m currently wavering on how short I want to go this time - shoulder length, bob, or pixie? Ahh, how to choose?!

Totally jealous your hair even grows that fast. I have been trying to grow my hair out for 4+years and am barely past my shoulders. But I also started with a short pixie cut (which I would LOVE to go back to after the wedding). I love the short hair style on you. Very CUTE!!

LOVE IT! This totally makes me want to go short again. My PWC involved getting rounded bangs and only taking 4-5 inches off the length so I can still hike my hair up in a ponytail.

I want to cut my hair so bad! But I needed a trim BEFORE the wedding so now my stingy self will have to wait another couple months before I can justify spending the money again on a haircut. But I already know that I’m going to be cutting at least a foot off and getting some serious bangs!

Love your short ‘do! Very stylish. I’m debating how short to go… and if I can deal with the upkeep of bangs (something I haven’t had since 3rd grade).
